Beautiful home, peaceful, exactly what we were looking for, for our family. Our boys enjoyed the fishing, using the kayaks, and fire pit. The chickens were very entertaining! The house was clean and had everything we needed. We will definitely plan another trip! Many thanks to the host!

If I could give this property and management 10 stars I would! The house Is quaint and surrounded by trees. It has two large screened porches with plenty of seating. It is the epitome of peacefulness. You feel like you are alone in the woods but you are only 5 or 10 minutes from everything!! The owners were so very responsive and helpful. They are really kind people. We stayed two weeks and wish we could have stayed longer.

This place was absolutely beautiful. The wife and I just needed a little getaway and this was everything we were looking for the lake was beautiful and great for fishing. Even our puppy. Had a great time. Would recommend going back.

Want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life? This is the place for you! Kick back and relax in this stylish home, far enough out of the city to get away, but close enough to enjoy the benefits of city life. Be aware - the house sits on a .5 mile bumpy dirt road, worth it if you are looking for peace and quiet. Due to the location, the best we can do is a data-limited hotspot for WIFI. So, we added a game room. Pets are welcome. The cost is $30 a night per pet that is paid separately.

Gloria is an awesome hostess! I felt right at home from the beginning. She invited me to join in some holiday festivities with her friends and family since I wasn't able to go home to be with mine. I’ve stayed at Sandy several times and it’s like going home for the holidays. It’s like going to see mom even though we’re very close in age. She is a pleasure to talk to and she always has something nice for breakfast as well as my favorite McDonald’s coffee. She is wonderful!

This is my second time staying here in Franklinton, North Carolina, and it has been one of my favorites. Of course the house is absolutely beautiful and the accommodations are fantastic. What sold me on coming back is you’re a five minute walk from downtown Franklinton, which has anything you could possibly need between breakfast lunch and dinner and a really cool nightlife. Can’t wait to come back.

Excellent place, very peaceful to go and disconnect from the daily grind. Close to Durham and Oxford, where the food is excellent! We spent a few incredible days, listening only to the sounds of nature. The cabin is super comfortable and private.
