This lovely private cottage within 20acre gardens has 1 double bedroom, fully equipped kitchen with single oven, 4 hobs, fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave, table and chairs making it suitable for longer or short stays. The bathroom has full size bath with power shower overhead, and the sitting room 2 double sofas, smart tv and wood burner giving the cottage a really cosy feel. Guests will have access to the well known Green Island Gardens and Colchester is only a 5 minute drive away.

Great base for working, visiting the area or relatives. Short walk to Essex University, 3 miles to Colchester and local villages. A practical first floor flat in Wivenhoe with double bedroom, lounge, sofa bed, bathroom and kitchen. Plenty of parking behind the flat, TV and unlimited broadband. A brilliant shop opposite, a friendly pub next door and bus stop outside with lots of other pubs and shops nearby. Nice walk down to the River Colne and have a drink or meal at the Rose & Crown.

Enjoy the lovely setting of this small but beautifully renovated railway carriage. Set in a quiet location just outside the City of Colchester and close to the towns of Manningtree and Dedham. This is a stand alone unit totally self contained with shower and toilet. Unlike garden rooms this unit has wheels and a tow bar. The (should I say) Shepherdess Hut as it was used by a small holder during lambing to be close to her flock. Not suitable for long stays. More details below in The Space. In the heart of lower Wivenhoe on the quay, our little self-contained cottage was once part of the home of The Colne Marine and Yacht Company. Its thick brick walls and quiet and pretty disposition, defy its former role as a working yard where timber yachts were crafted and repaired, drawn up inside at high tide.
