Monthly Rentals in Grimbister

Lovely setting. Despite being on a busy main road we did not feel this disturbed our peace, slept well on comfy beds. Great for walking to Stones of Stenness and Ring of Brodgar. Also for Maeshowe. There are limited footpaths but walking on the road felt safe as all vehicles gave room to us. Bus services were good and on the whole on time - a day pass was good value Only problem was that we had not brought food (no vehicle ) so on arrival had hoped to eat at hotel nearby, unfortunately they did not serve food. Fortunately there was a very welcome welcome pack from Kayleigh which was much appreciated

This is a beautiful rural spot and the property was perfect for our five days seeing the wonders of Orkney. Robert lives nearby and was quick to respond to any questions. It was a warm and comfortable house with everything we needed. A great stay.

Exactly as advertised, absolutely fantastic view, best appointed kitchen I can remember. welcoming host. situated up a private lane on a small and very quiet working farm so this was not a problem. On arrival I had a "mobile phone data moment", but one phone call to Daisy and she had fixed "my problem". Both Daisy and her husband were very helpful both personally and in their provision of a very detailed and useful Let Booklet containing all the expected legal stuff about about insurance etc. There was also as well as the legal stuff a whole list of useful stuff, on what to see do, what to visit, restaurants, shops doctors etc. We have been to Orkney many times, and this is a real find. Superb to get away from almost everything!

We felt we'd found the perfect place to stay. Very comfortable and clean and a breathtaking view. All we needed in the kitchen to self cater and we preferred to eat at home and enjoy that spectacular view. Our dog was very happy with the garden and the chance to chase rabbits. Linda and Gary were extremely helpful throughout both prior to arrival and during our stay. We'd love to return one day.
