Barb and Ted were great hosts who were patient and proactive in their communication, I never had to wait for a response. I was very impressed with how stocked the kitchen was with kitchen necessities (pots, pans, plates, glass cups, utensils). It’s a bit of a drive to get groceries but if you plan ahead and stock up, there is no need to make the drive. However, the drive is very scenic so that makes up for it. The bed was very comfortable, blankets plentiful, as well as pillows. The bathroom took some getting used to as I have never used a compost toilet but it’s better than not having one. The shower and sink gets hot and stays hot. Plenty of storage on the living area and bathroom. My wife and I did not have issues with the driveway with our vehicles, however, I do recommend you have something that has some clearance. The description is exactly what you read and see. Lovely little cabin! Gives the camping experience but with lots of comfort. Great amenities and extra cozy bed! We loved the window with the mountain view. The resort was quite crowded this weekend, but our spot on the hill was super peaceful and away from all the hustle and bustle. Definitely would stay here again!

This cabin was such a wonderful place to stay for our group. It is tucked away offering privacy and peacefulness, but not too far to drive to whatever you may need. The space was lovely and offered several activities to keep busy!

Definitely a great choice for our winter break getaway. Pictures of the views did not do it any justice. We wanted some snow and had missed out before getting there but luckily it snowed our first night. The kids woke up and were ready to get out. Everything that we needed and more was there for us. Luckily we stocked up prior to arrival as the local market was closed. We got out for a few walks of the property and we all loved the private space that came with it. We came across a couple deer on our treks. Outdoor at night is just majestic. The winds thru the pines sounded just like the waves at a beach. If it weren’t so cold the kids would’ve stayed outside 95% of the time. We left a couple snowmen to welcome whomever may be coming out next. We had a blast and enjoyed the sheer peace away from it all. If you want to get a way and unplug.. this is just the place.

We spent two nights at this unique cabin and had a really enjoyable stay. The host was friendly and responsive, and arrival was easy thanks to keyless entry and convenient parking. Although the weather was mostly cloudy and rainy, we made the most of the time outdoors—especially relaxing in the hot tub and sitting by the firepit when the weather allowed. The setting is cozy and peaceful. Inside, the cabin was clean and thoughtfully prepared, with small touches that made it feel welcoming. One standout detail was the raised dog bed tucked into a quiet corner—it was perfect for our senior pup to chill. We’ve stayed at many rentals, and this was the first time we’ve seen a dedicated doggy zone. Very sweet. We highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable place to unwind.

Staying at Tammy’s home in Florissant was an absolute dream! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed, comfortable, and completely at peace. The house itself is spotless, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully stocked with everything you could possibly need – from cozy blankets to a well-equipped kitchen and even little extras that made our stay extra special. The location is breathtaking – nestled in the serene Colorado mountains, it’s the perfect mix of peaceful seclusion and easy access to nearby sights like Mueller State Park, Florissant Fossil Beds, and Cripple Creek. Waking up to mountain views and sipping coffee on the deck while watching deer pass by was pure magic. Tammy was an outstanding host: kind, responsive, and clearly passionate about making sure her guests have an unforgettable experience. It truly felt like a home away from home, with a warm and welcoming energy that made it hard to leave.

Had a great time staying at Jeff's cabin! Its far enough from town that you feel like you are away from it all, yet close enough that its not a hassle to get to Colorado Springs and the surrounding area.
