Rakuten STAY HOUSE × WILLSTYLE 萩西田町 102

We had a beautiful and pleasant time. A few ants and small insects came out, but there was an insecticide, so even I, who dislikes insects, was not so concerned. There were plenty of local ingredients at the nearby supermarket, so I cooked and enjoyed dinner. There were no bowl-shaped dishes and kitchen scissors, so I felt it would be nice to have them. Thank you⭐

Tomohiro’s home is the nicest place we have stayed in 4 different trips to Japan. The home is in a quiet, historic neighborhood with convenient access to a grocery store, laundromat, bus line, and must-see areas. The home is stunningly beautiful, combining traditional and modern design. The spacious rooms are serene, with views to the gardens, while the bathroom is thoroughly modern. Loved the indoor shower. Beds are very comfortable. Everything was very clean and in great condition, with none of the clutter that some other traditional homes have. Although it doesn’t have a full kitchen, it worked well for our practice of getting simple breakfast and dinner foods from the grocery store that is a 2 minute walk away. It was hard to leave at the end of our 3 nights. The owner was very responsive, pleasant and helpful. Information was provided in English. Highly recommended.

[Private room and twin only] A casual design hostel overlooking the Tsuwano River, Mt. Aona, and steam trains

Wow, what an amazingly designed place to stay, in such a beautiful, off the beaten path town! I can't say enough good things about the space and the hosts, Tamachan was so helpful and friendly, and she and the kitchen staff were so very kind to feed me while they were hosting a private dinner (while the cafe was technically closed!). Tsuwano is also just such an unexpectedly lovely and peaceful place nestled in a river valley, I can't wait to return!
