Gîte Le Sambre

This memorable place is anything but ordinary. The history of our houseboat, or modern comfort meets the soothing calm of the water, for a total escape. Our barge has not sailed for years but in 2023 it was refurbished. The boat dates from 1947, it supplied the barges with drinking water on the Meuse, repatriated about 35 years ago to the Thuin shipyard which no longer exists. It served as a restaurant until 2022 and then was transformed into a gîte.

Small private house on 2 floors, the ground floor is composed of a large open room with kitchen area (fully equipped) dining area and living area. The floor is also a large room with bathroom area, dressing room and bed for 2 people (180 x 200) and a toilet with hinged door. The house is located in a secure property, with parking, a small private garden at the front of the house. The village is quiet, close to Tournai, Kortrijk and Lille.

Located 5 min walk from the Grand Place, quiet and secure area of the city center, close to supermarkets, restaurants, bars, Waux Hall Park, highways, train station, shopping center... The apartment is on the ground floor and has a bedroom with a 2-person bed, a shower room (sink - wc - shower), a living area with a click-clack 2 pers., an equipped kitchen and a terrace. The apartment is located on a street where parking is free.
