How about resting at the Fortress, overlooking the city, close to everything you need? Haldenhytta has a charm you discover as soon as you see the place at the top of the cobblestone hill. Here the hiking areas at the Fortress meet the old town center. The host lives here partially himself, so some private things will be visible. It is possible to rent rooms for a cheaper price if guests want to stay here while the host is at home. The house in the lush garden is located on the pilgrim's trail. Hikers with pilgrim passes are asked to state this.

Halden Arena is only 300 meters away, while the cinema, library, Busterudparken and the pedestrian street with shops and restaurants are a 5-minute walk from the house. The south side with train station, guest harbor and Brygga cultural hall is about 15–20 minutes on foot.

By car about 25 minutes to Strömstad about 15 minutes to Nordby shopping about 15 minutes to the Norwegian border about 20 minutes to the sea about 12 minutes to the highway

It is a 15 minutes drive to Sarpsborg, where you will find shopping malls, Inspera and the water park "Superland". There is nice nature in the surrounding area with good opportunities for nice walks or training trips, either by bike or on foot. It is 15 minutes by car to Sweden. Høysand can offer a great beach with diving boards, playground, football field, volleyball courts, mini golf, tennis etc.

Welcome to our holiday home in Hogal approx. 100m from Dynekilen Fjord, not far from the port town of Strömstad. This completely newly furnished holiday home offers you the opportunity to quickly get to the nearby jetty, for example to start the day with a refreshing swim. A boat trip (at an additional cost) is also possible. You can quickly and easily reach beautiful bays and viewpoints of the fjord and its flora and fauna via nearby forest paths.
