Cottage holiday rentals in Halifax

We had a girls weekend at Cheryl’s, and it was the perfect spot for it. Very clean and spacious with a great view! Great property with lots of activities to do. Would definitely stay there again!

This place was incredible! Close enough to Halifax to enjoy the city but remote and quaint to enjoy the seaside life. The accommodation was very well stocked with coffee, milk, bread, treats! Highly recommend!

I booked Wilson Coastal Club 5 for 3 nights, and it was absolutely perfect. The room was beautifully set up clean, cozy, and with an incredible water view right from the window. Waking up to that every morning was such a treat! The entire property has a peaceful, inviting atmosphere. One of our favorite moments was spending a relaxing evening in the wood-fired hot tub and sauna with a private ocean view. It was such a cozy and intimate way to unwind. We also enjoyed quiet walks along the shore and soaking in the calm surroundings. The staff and the host were so friendly and helpful always available to answer any questions and made sure we had everything we needed. The host even checked in during our stay to make sure we were doing okay, which was very thoughtful. The location is great close to the highway, so it’s easy to get to Halifax. There’s also a nearby supermarket and gas station. Plus, Peggy’s Cove and Lunenburg are just a short drive away. Thank you, for hosting us :)

OUTSTANDING! This was one of the most beautiful AirBNB’s we have ever stayed in, and you can’t ask for better hosts. The home is immaculate and is stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay, which made our family feel right at home. The view is incredible, and it was the perfect location for us to explore the area (Peggy’s Cove, Lunenburg, Chester). I would highly recommend.

My best friend and I stayed here with our kids and had a wonderful time! The view is amazing and we all enjoyed the wood fired hot tub very much. Plenty of bathrooms and space to hang out especially with two young kids. We would definitely book in again!

We stayed one night and it was not long enough. Jacquelyn’s home is beautiful and functional. It had everything you needed for an enjoyable stay. It was one of the most well equipped home’s we have stayed in. The beds were comfortable with extra blankets and throws if needed. We also own a rental property and we were getting ideas to add to our home. The outside area was beautiful offering a fire pit as well as a jacuzzi. We definitely recommend this home.

What a wonderful stay we had at the lake house! Coming from the US where the weather is already 95F, it was a fantastic way to beat the heat and spend time with family. Such a great location on the lake with peace and quiet (we live in large cities). The lake house itself is beautiful! Amazing glass windows give everyone the lovely views of Nova Scotia. The home is modern, spacious, and accommodated us all. Jolena is amazing! She’s responsive, friendly, and all around a lovely human being. We will be back!!

I had an amazing stay at this Airbnb! The space was absolutely beautiful—thoughtfully decorated, bright, and exactly as pictured. Everything was spotless and well-maintained, which made me feel right at home from the moment I walked in. The attention to detail was clear, and you could tell the host really cares about creating a comfortable and welcoming experience. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, stylish, and relaxing place to stay.

Most of what I'm saying is echoing what other Guests have said - it's all still true for 2024: Morry is great to work with, cottage is clean and well-equipped,  the views here are wonderful, beds are comfy and the layout worked well for us with the two main floor bedrooms on opposite sides.  The kitchen is a good size and the two full bathrooms are like new. There's a great hike trailhead a stone's throw away and, if you haven't already, you will fall in love with Prospect, NS!!

The cottage was exactly what we were looking for. Great communication great service. We were there longer than most, but it was a very comfortable cottage.

It was a full house with everything for cooking, enjoying, sleeping and not far the beautiful martinique beach. Tracy also supplies an amazing collection of coffees and teas ! It was an amazing place

We had such a wonderful stay. The cottage was decorated with a lot of taste, offered magnificent views on the water, and was spotless. The whole experience was well planned and effortless. Colin was very responsive to all our messages. There are many things to discover in the surroundings. Peaceful at night. Highly recommend if you are looking for nature and peace.

It was beautiful and peaceful. We felt like we were on vacation. Accommodations were comfortable and homey. We settled right in, and we enjoyed all the games that were provided. We had everything we needed. He surprised us with extra treats which we all enjoyed. The view was incredible.

Our little cabin was more than enough! Clean and comfortable. I wish we could have stayed longer! I'm so glad we stayed local one day and visited the library and local eateries. Our host was easy to talk to and very responsive. We also loved the kayaks. We will be back!

I had a lovely stay at David and Nancy's cottage. The cottage was roomy, spotlessly clean and fully equipped (the kitchen had a few items in it that I don't even have in my own kitchen). It was comfortable and convenient and David and Nancy were responsive, kind and generous. I would definitely stay with them again the next time I am in Hubbards. (I'd come back just for Nancy's homemade chocolate mints!)

Chris’s place exceeded expectations! It is in a great location aside from being a little dicey pulling out onto road, being on a bend. Chris was very attentive and the home was beautiful! Woke up to deer in the back yard. Fantastic experience and I will be back for my next visit to Halifax. Thank you Chris!

Literally the best ever Airbnb we've ever stayed at... Brian and Heidi were great hosts, communication was very efficient and extremely helpful, they ensured everything we could possibly need was in place at the house. The house itself was located in a peaceful, beautiful, secluded spot with great outdoor spaces, and indoors is carefully set out with an amazingly stocked kitchen with appliance and utensil thinkable, a comfortable living area with smart TV, lightening quick WiFi, efficient AC/heating and plenty of spaces to sit Both bedrooms feature extremely comfortable beds, masses of storage space, and plenty of books to help pass the time. My only issue is that we can't give this place 6 stars! Thank you again Brian and Heidi for providing such an amazing place to stay for 2 Brits who had the greatest 2 weeks in your home 😄😄

My bridesmaids and I booked this AirBNB for my wedding weekend! The decor is stunning and was perfect for photos indoors. Lots of natural light helped with us getting ready, and the living/kitchen area is quite spacious. The house was just minutes away from our venue and was easy to find. I would definitely recommend for a weekend getaway ☺️

A wonderful stay. The house was beautiful. Very clean, updated kitchen and modern applicances. The home is full of old world charm with views for the deck that can't be beat. Deer and pheasants in the yard. Everyone on the island was very friendly and helpful. Jennie was incredible with everything from parking, to getting our luggage there and providing a lovely surprise of a bottle of wine which was greatly appreciated. This was a definite "bucket list" stay for my sister and I. Highly reccomend!!

Great location on a very clean and peaceful lake. Swimming , kayaks and paddleboards are available right off the private dock. My son and I enjoyed paddling around the lake with islands, walking trails and a natural area with diving board to explore. The house is on a peninsula so while it’s very private , you also get pretty views on 3 sides. The house is stocked with everything you need for meals, movie watching , games (indoor & outdoor) as wells as a fire pit area. Very rustic feel but everything clean and air conditioned so we were comfortable when we did spend time in the house. Lastly , we were able to get to the Halifax waterfront for a very enjoyable meal in only 35 mins. Closer options in Sackville & Dartmouth as well. We also appreciated having a large Sobey’s grocery store only 10 min drive away.

We had a wonderful visit, Prospect Bay is an idyllic place to spend some time. The house is even more beautiful than its pictures, quite spacious and contains everything needed for a short or longer stay. It is set along the marsh bay, and its design makes the most of the stunning location. We were enthralled by the many different variations of the ‘backyard view, between the tides and fog/versus sun. This is great base for short local trips, nearby Halifax, and an hour from the Bay of Fundy. Meagan and Scott provided some great suggestions, including the coast hike right from the house that is truly unique (challenging to follow the trail exactly, but it is a coastal trail) .Everything about the house and visit, was ideal.

Great location, very peaceful views of the lake and lake access. Sid was a very responsive host and gave great recommendations for local places to eat. Easy drives to tourist attractions, including Peggy's Cove, Lunenberg, and Halifax. Loved mornings on the deck looking at the water!

Love this spot! Everything you ever need in this little surf town. Wifi was also amazing
