This unique home has its very own style that has emerged over the five years that we rebuilt the barn. High ceilings and plenty of space both inside and out. Everything is new and fresh. Perfect place for rest and recreation. It includes bikes, kayaks and DRINKS (2 of each) and the proximity to sports and outdoor activities is good. Enjoy the view of the river from the cottage, own sauna/jetty, take a swim or a boat or canoe ride in the peaceful Black River. Go paddleboarding, sunbathe, read a book and enjoy the view and tranquility. Proximity to nature reserve, berry and mussel picking, fishing and swimming areas with sandy beach. Also close to the cozy resort of Grythyttan with cobblestone streets, service, café, gelateria and high-class gastronomy.

FredrikLars farm at Nordmarksbergs Mansion

FredrikLars-gården adjacent to Nordmarksbergs Herrgård: 19th century or older. In this farm, the great inventor John Ericsson's grandfather Nils (b. 1747 – 1790) has lived. On a rock in the grounds of the farm, there should be a curtain with the name of Nils. Picture of this stone can be found in Värmlandsarkiv's photo archive on a picture from 1955 (photo Lennart Thelander, pictures SEVA_11229_36 and SEVA_11230-1), but has not been found in the present day. It's probably hidden by mortar that's been covered over the rocks.

Close to forest and outdoor life, MTB trails, nice swimming lakes and fishing lakes. In the spring, calves and lambs are born on the farm and you as a guest can get a visit to the animals.

A uniqe cottage at a small farm 200 m from Hjälmaren. We try to walk as light on earth as possible. The environment is perfect for relaxing nature experiences. Hyttan

The 160-year-old furnace in the heart of Bergslagen was used for the production of iron ore until the mid 50'. In 2010, the building was given new life and transformed from a ruin into an exclusive private residence in industrial romantic style. Enjoy the 16 meter ceiling height and a striking view of the river rushing by just outside the huge windows. On the site and in the surrounding forest, several ruins remain from the time when it was still a vibrant industry.

If you are looking for a comfortable living in the middle of nature for you and your family, this is a nice choice. The accommodation includes one canoe that can fit 3 adults. Life jackets and paddles also included. Walking distance to the lake and river. Transport of canoe to other lakes can be arranged for a small fee.
