Monthly Rentals in Hamlin Lake

I can’t think of a better place to get to know, or get reacquainted with the Ludington area. Hamlin lake is right across the road from this cottage and if you are a water fan, it will not disappoint. The cottage is clean and brings back the 1960’s traditional design and features. It’s not a super hip, smart appliance, remodeled place if that’s what you want. It is a step back to a more peaceful time and simpler lifestyle which is what many of us want in this busy, turbulent world. It’s our second time back and we hope for many more!

Unfortunately it was raining when we arrived. Maria had such a nice setup with the picnic table, corn hole and fire pit. We only wish we could have enjoyed it. It was certainly a cozy camper and we felt right at home. The "master" bed was comfortable but my friend said the top bunk had little to no cushion. The sheets/comforters as well as the bath towels were fresh and clean. There was no binder with instructions for checkin/checkout and these instructions, along with things to do in the area, were only communicated through Airbnb. I'm "old school" and would have preferred both forms as I missed seeing the official checkout information until after we left the place.

I visited recently with my mother and her dog. Both Austin and Laura were very quick to respond to questions and make accommodations for my mother's allergies. The bungalow was BEAUTIFUL and there were many thoughtful additions beyond just cleanliness: snacks, food, coffee, games, accessories for pets, cooler for beach days. Overall it was a very positive experience and you can tell Austin is a pro at hosting!

We love it at Vacation Lane and this house is perfect for our large family!
