An absolutely dreamy escape for two! complete with scenic views, and enough special touches to feel at home. Fiona made everything so comfortable and we look forward to coming back!

An absolutely gorgeous place to stay. The location was wonderful, you felt like you were in the middle of nowhere, despite there being a pub next door! Lots of walks or cycles from the door, yet 2 minutes from a main road. The house was beautifully decorated and great bedrooms, lovely linen and comfy beds, with fantastic bathrooms. Everything you needed to cook for yourself and great recommendations of things to do and places to go. We had ponies outside our garden! Paul was a great host, responsive and helpful, really welcoming and very kind regarding checking in and out. We were there to celebrate a few things and felt it was absolutely the place for that. The pub next door under new owners was very friendly but did not disturb us at all. Thank you Paul, we had a great stay and would highly recommend it.

Well, what can I say? Everything about our stay was simply perfect. A ‘girly time’ spent chilling in a beautifully refurbed Shepherds Hut, with everything provided for a very cosy night. Amanda was such a hospitable host. She made us feel so very welcome with her two dogs, ducks and pigs (we a need to go back and meet the horses and donkey) Amanda lit the fire pit for us after a rainy afternoon, and made the most delicious breakfast and coffee the next day. Joining us after breakfast we enjoyed hearing a myriad of her life stories - and nearly five hours later we departed with lots of happy memories. A little bit of heaven in the Hampshire country side. Fabulous host, gave us the most wonderful recommendations. Helped with ferry tickets and buses to arrive. Beautiful location, so peaceful and calm and relaxing waking up to the sound of nature. Will definitely be visiting again!

Anna and Eric were both so accommodating. Went beyond and above with my little one by providing him with a bouncy castle and extra toys. My doggy loved it too! Definitely would come back and recommend, amazing hosts!

A delightful and charming place to stop and relax. Everything was superb - the hut, its private garden, the thoughtful book selection, the bed linen which smelt of fresh air, the warm croissants and home made jams. Daisy the retriever, was the icing on the cake. Sarah and Frank are warm, available as needed but respectful of privacy.

The best site ever. We could enjoy unique hut with a bathtub and private space. The scenery of the hill from there was so nice. Our dog could be a good friend of sheep in the next field and excited for a wild rabbit was running through the field. Facilities are well maintained and clean, especially the wood stove inside worked well and nice. Thank you for the stay and see you again! We found a good Japanese restaurant 5 minutes drive from the site.

After walking 56km on the South Downs that day, seeing the Shepherd’s Hut was a delight. As I arrived I just called up Pauline and she met me outside, and chatted me through the area and told me all about the farm which just added to the magic. The hut had everything you need, kettle, fridge, light, electricity and beautiful views. The area was silent and so private whilst just being next to the South Downs Way path. The bed was so comfortable and the hut was super warm. There is an electric heater should you need it in the winter months. I would 100% stay again!

Honestly we didn’t know how much we needed this break until we got here and experienced our perfect 2 night woodland getaway! Highly recommend and we will definitely be back for another child free chill, Thankyou so much to Victoria, a real gem and got us thinking how we can live more eco friendly at home :)

Had a lovely three night stay in Acorn hut. Spacious and very private outdoor space with a hot tub for relaxing. Bathroom facilities were clean and shower was great. The hut itself was cosy with everything you need for a few nights away. Big enough for my partner and I as well as our large greyhound. The host was lovely and helpful with advice about places to go and the surrounding area. Would definitely recommend a stay here for anyone looking for a peaceful spot.

We absolutely loved our stay, it's such a unique property full of everything we needed. All the details are spot on. Great outside space and nice views. Such a peaceful location, the bird song was just beautiful. We needed a real break and to fully relax and this was absolutely perfect. We would love to return! Thank you again Cath!

The most wonderful stay in the most beautiful little hut. From the moment I arrived I felt instantly relaxed. Emily has created the most perfectly peaceful space, inside and out. She is also a wonderful host & was able to help me with my forgotten item. Waking up to the sound of the birds, with the greenery outside the window was my favourite part. Emily’s hut is a delightfully comfortable space and the log burner keeps you very cosy in the evening. The village itself is also delightful to walk around, there is plenty to explore in the area and a great pub on the doorstep. The only downside was checking out.

My wife & I stayed at the Sheppards hut for the second time this year. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great but that didn't stop us from enjoying our stay. With comfortable outside seating & a brilliant fire pit we kept cozy in the rain just under the canopy. If you don't like small places, this is not for you but we loved it. The hut itself is kept very clean. Nothing can stop nature leave it's mark outside. James made sure there was plenty of fire wood & he will need to restock it after our weekend. I could suggest some improvement like a larger canopy to hide under but that's because we like being outside. By the way the outside shower is fantastic & it's not cold. I do suggest lighting the fire pit ready for when you come out. If you want to venture off, I recommend visiting Wimborne but there's no need if you like being in the woods with nature. I'm sure we'll stay again.

What an amazing place for a family gathering, beautiful house, all the mod cons you could wish for. Big open reception/kitchen area with plenty of seating. Home from home really. Extremely helpful hosts down to safety pins! Highly recommend the property. Thank you.

A lovely hut in the New Forest, beside the local pub (which we didn’t actually try). A peaceful location! Really well appointed, luxurious hut, with v comfy bed and a lovely bathroom! What more could you want!

Katie and Jason were very kind and welcoming. We loved the place. It’s isolated and the nature is beautiful. Facilities were great as well, bbq, hot tub, picnic table and lounge chairs to enjoy the surroundings. Small things like having biscuits, milk and eggs were very much appreciated as well.

Stayed 3 nights at Jo's hut with our dog during the recent heatwave and we had a fab time. So quiet and peaceful. The hut was so comfortable and cool at night. There was everything there we could possibly need from dog toys and treats, to amazing toiletries and soft towels. A very efficient fridge with milk water and even fresh eggs available to buy for a minimal charge. Thanks Jo we had a lovely relaxing time and will definately come back!!

Wonderful stay in a beautiful part of the world. Definitely pay for the hot tub, amazing to be outside looking at the stars at night.

Very cute, clean space and a very private space, even though in Rachel's garden. My wife and I were walking the solent way so a great base. Milford centre was 5 mins walk from Rachels and was full of cafes and eateries. The shepherd's hut had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, a shower, hob, fridge etc. and Rachel was very responsive to our questions. We would definitely stay again.

We had the most wonderful time at Tinky Winky’s, celebrating a significant birthday and anniversary. It was our first time in a shepherd’s hut and everything you could possibly need is on hand for a chilled, relaxing time. How nice to start the day sitting on the veranda enjoying breakfast before exploring the area, then returning for a late night drink in front of the fire pit watching the sunset, or in the hot tub. Mo and Ann are so helpful, which made our stay great.

Our weekend stay at Sally's shepherd hut was absolutely lovely...Perfect quiet location although lots of places to visit just a short drive away and the hut was very well equipped and felt lovely and cosy...Would have no hesitation in recommending friends or others to stay and we will recently stay there again.

Wow! What an amazing stay me and my boyfriend had. The location of the hut was absolutely stunning- the private lake and the sheep grazing right outside the window was lovely. We made use of the pool on site which was a great touch. The inside of the hut was so well equipped with a pull out kitchen table, storage under the bed for luggage and a really good sized shower- not to add how comfy the bed was! We met Doug the sheep dog who very kindly accompanied us to and from our hut. My boyfriend particularly liked playing fetch across the fields with him! We would 100% recommend this stay and we hope to return😊

Lovely little hut with very large enclosed paddock area so if you’re taking a pet with you then they’ll definitely love the open space! The hut has all the amenities that you’d want for a short stay. I’d recommend taking a portable fan with if you decide to visit during the summer as it does get quite warm! Be aware that the bed is on the shorter side so if you’re over 5’10’’ your feet may hang off slightly but that is to be expected when staying in a Shepard’s hut :)
