Cottage holiday rentals in Hampton

A gem of an Airbnb! The hosts truly thought of everything and this was the perfect place to stay with two young kids; in fact, my son loved the bunkbed and toys so much he refused to go to bed every night! From the tonies box and kids toys, to all the beach and baby gear, there wasn’t one thing they lacked. The place was clean and organized and felt so cozy. I highly highly recommend this place, especially for families! The hosts were so friendly and accommodating as well.

We enjoyed our stay. Nice and clean. Smelled fresh. The cottage was as described and even had more homey accents than expected - coffee maker, coffee pods, coffee milk, condiments in the fridge, toaster, snacks, nice dishes and cookware, great TV, comfy sofa and even an electronic fireplace in the main bedroom. Many thoughtful details throughout. Soap, shampoo and conditioner in the shower. Extra towels. A hot tub ready to enjoy and kayaks at the house to use at the nearby lake. I really wish it wasn’t a downpour weekend so we could’ve used the hot tub and kayaks. Quiet neighborhood. Parking for 1-2 cars. Great notebook chock full of helpful information of the area. Nice touch! We would stay here again and can see this being a great location for summer with the lake and water availability. The owners were kind and very responsive to any and all feedback.

Lovely one night stay at this sweet little cottage! Grounds are well-kept, enjoyed morning coffee on the front porch. AC kept it nice and cool. Convenient location close to a great donut shop- Congdon’s and our favorite ice scream spot- Scoop Deck. Chloe is a gracious host and even granted us a late check-out!

I had a nice stay at Alexa's. It's beautiful, quiet and ideal to get some rest while being surronded with nature. The best!

Wow! What a beautiful place to stay. We visited all the surrounding cities we came to Maine for. The beds were so comfy! The towels smelled so fresh. The washer and dryer were so nice to have- so thoughtful that detergent was provided! We appreciated all the cute details the cottage had to offer. My girls loved the ride on the golf cart! 10/10 stay. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely place with us!

Great clean air bnb. Accurately as described.. looks good in photos but even better in-person. Bed was comfortable. Would rent their properties again.

The house was clean and well maintained. The view was gorgeous, too bad Mother Nature didn’t cooperate. It was cold and rainy. Used the fire pit nightly and it was nice. Linens were clean, towels were soft and fluffy and smelled freshly laundered. Kitchen was spotless and well stocked with pot/pans and dishes. Having a dishwasher was nice too. Two grocery stores (Hannaford and Market Basket) were close by and plenty of restaurants too. We came with the intention of doing nothing and just changing scenery for the weekend. This place was perfect.

We had a wonderful stay here and highly recommend it! The location is great, as it’s close to plenty of restaurants and stores. We were even able to walk to get breakfast and dinner. The space itself was much larger than we expected and very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed and we even had snacks, waters, and coffee left for us! The highlight for my 2 year old was the pirate ship playground. We also loved having access to picnic tables. We got takeout and enjoyed eating outdoors. We did not use the outside grill but that is a great addition and we would have used if we stayed longer. The host was very helpful and accommodating. They offered early check in and check out and gave very clear instructions on how to get in. I would not hesitate to return in the future!

Perfect little beach cottage! Comfortable, clean and very convenient to the beach and other fun activities like the arcade. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a fantastic time at this cute and cozy cottage! It’s within 15 minutes of basically anything in the Portland area and the cottage itself is so charming and inviting. We only wish we had planned to stay here longer!

They were accommodating, flexible, and very gracious. They had an entire binder of information with details about where to find fans, towels, flashlights, how to work the shower, heat, grill, and about anything else you can think of. It also had emergency services, restaurants, places to have a good time, and good details about checkout expectations. Overall we were extremely happy with the property and our stay, and were honored by the personalization they did for us specifically as it was our Honeymoon and they wrote us a custom note by hand for when we arrived. Highly Recommended - Will Rent Again!

We felt right at home and Rick allowed us to bring our dog and two cats, a bonus not easily found. The rental was cozy but big enough for the two of us and 3 fur babies. The shower was nice and hot, the Wi-Fi was excellent and we had a great Roku TV that we easily streamed our services without issue. The furniture was very big and comfortable with throws available for added warmth. The bedroom was perfect with plenty of space for our clothes, a nice bed and new fresh bedding. The absolutely only challenge was the narrow, curvy driveway! Luckily, we had a good back up camera and the street wasn’t very busy. This minor issue is not enough to deter us from returning for another stay!

Stayed here for two nights to enjoy the area. Susan was very communicative, proactive, and was flexible with check in. Place matched the photos, great location, lots to do. Will come again to this Airbnb.

Lovely private location near beach, restaurants, and hiking. Donna provided great recommendations and timely responses. Would stay here again if in the area.

Larry's place was beautiful. There was a great view of the inlet from both downstairs and upstairs. It's within walking distance to downtown Portsmouth, which is great because parking can be tricky in town. But we had a long day driving so we just enjoyed sitting out on the balcony and relaxing. Having a bedroom with living room upstairs AND downstairs was perfect as it afforded my daughter and I each our own space. The only problem was we didn't have more than one night to stay!

Rachel was so helpful and accommodating. Her place was so cozy and clean, and extremely well set up so that everything was there to help our family feel at home. Thanks for a great stay!

We had a great time at Flip Flop and would recommend. It is so close to the beach and the welcome book had great restaurant recommendations. The Beach Plums clam chowder was especially good. The drive to Portsmouth or Rye is just 12 minutes or so. So much to do in the city for first timers! We were doing family research in the area and it was a lovely way to spend time together. Our great grandfather was a shoaler so we were surprised to look out on a clear day and see the Isles of Shoals. Thank you Carrie for your responsiveness!

We had the best time with our friends! Staying at Jennifers place made us feel right at home! Loved that the beds were super comfy and both couples were able to have their own privacy with one bed and bathroom upstairs and the other downstairs! Nice walk to the beach, shopping and great food. Loved hanging out on the front porch too. Jennifer was a wonderful host and texted back within minutes answering my questions!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect. We were in Hampton to attend the Seafood Festival and had wanted to get a place closer to all the action. But this turned out to be better. We liked staying up North where it's quieter and less crowded. And we had two cars so having a driveway was a big plus. It was only 2 miles to the festival (we even walked there along the beach) and after a fun busy day it was nice to go back to the quieter neighborhood. The house was as expected. It is small but that was fine for our purposes. It is decorated nicely and it was clean and comfortable. There were lots of plush bath towels. The beach chairs in the shed and the cozy throws on the porch were useful when we watched the fireworks at the beach at night. The instructions for the house were clear and complete. Brenden was very responsive and helpful . We would definitely stay there again.

The view is even more stunning in person! Spent the weekend here with my family and it was breathtaking to say the least. Half of our time was spent just admiring the view because it’s that good. Cozy decor and open floor plan made it easy to settle in and feel right at home. Peaceful private neighborhood with great foliage. Perfect place for getting out on the water in kayaks, making s’mores, stargazing, and creating life long memories. We wish we could’ve stayed longer!!

Stayed here for 2 nights in May 2025 and absolutely loved it here. Very quiet and peaceful but close to the beaches and restaurants. Such beautiful surroundings. Also we loved the fire pit outside which we liked a lot. Would recommend very highly

Laura’s place is a peaceful retreat away from the crowds of Kennebunk and Saco. We chose the right spot to relax after the festivities of the weekend wedding events. There were thoughtful touches like milk, butter and tea - which made our stay extra enjoyable. We’re only bummed about all the rain so we couldn’t enjoy the delightful deck and fire pit. As long as you’re okay with the occasional traffic and train going by then this place is a real gem! Super clean, super comfy and super thoughtful!
