Hanmer Family Hideaway

Our home is close to the centre of Hanmer Springs. It is situated on a private flat rear section with an outlook to the surrounding mountains. You are required to clean this home when you leave and bring your own bed sheets, pillow cases and towels. Or these can be provided upon request for an additional cost. Just a few minutes walk away is the Hanmer golf course, tennis courts, a children's skate park and playground. The village shops and hot pools are a 10 minute walk along flat streets.

Lovely warm and sunny, 3 bdrm house with great views of golf course and the mountains. A quick 15 minute walk into town. Situated on the flat with all day sun. Good size deck with outdoor table and bench seats to sit and enjoy the sun, the garden and relax while dining Plenty of firewood for the fire in winter. This 1960s A Frame house and is the original site of the Hanmer Pottery. The house has a refurbished kitchen and bathroom and is an attached house with your own space and fenced yard. Upstairs Queen room looks towards the Lewis Pass.The other is to the main road arriving in Hanmer Springs. If you are looking for something a little different Pottery Corner is just that. On arrival you may hear our wee pooches greeting you over the fence.

This is a family friendly house and there are plenty of toys and books to entertain your children. In the large kitchen you will find all your home convinces, such as a dishwasher, microwave, nespresso, soda stream, and slow cooker.

Our second time staying at Anthony’s cottage, would definitely recommend and we will likely be back again! Walking distance to the hot springs and restaurants and shops and the cottage is comfortable and well equipped. Grateful to be able to bring our dog on holiday too!

Really enjoyed our stay at Andrew's house for a family getaway (6 adults, 1 child). The bedrooms are well set up and plenty of space. The house was nice and warm, well equipped with heaters and of course the fireplace puts out a lot of heat! The common areas were really nice for hanging out as a family and cooking meals. There is lovely walking tracks that start just at the end of the street, and town is not very far away (walkable, with a hill).

My favourite place I’ve ever stayed in Hanmer! So cosy with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Superb view, on a cold afternoon it was lovely to sit inside and watch the dusk falling on the mountains. Location really handy to the village but feels quiet and chill. I look forward to staying there again!

Any confusion re: location was all mine. Once I understood I needed to check in with the Top 10 Park office, it all became too easy. My wife & I had 4 family friends from overseas staying with us, & they were VERY impressed. Kitchen Appliances, Linen etc, & then the beds themselves -firm, but we all slept really well. The bathroom was rated highly by all, & a separate "powder room" off the lounge area was a bonus. The lounge area easily accomodated us all. Outside on the deck was a Weber Gas BBQ for our use, but sadly not for us this time. A very well thought out design given the constraints of the building external dimensions. Inside, it feels very generous in it's proportions. We highly recommend this as an excellent place to stay. Try to book it for more than just a single night, which was our only regret. Our compliments to our hosts, who btw were very easily contacted. Thanks again.
