Cozy Catskills Cottage

This is my new catskill cottage. We are proud to offer you the perfect place for your retreat with more than 4 acres of maple trees, streams, old stone walls, spring and sitting on a small hill. I put all my effort in creating the best place to spend a weekend or a full season (all four seasons are beautiful and with plenty of things to do in the Catskills). There are two bedrooms, one is actually a loft on the second floor open to the living area. All spaces are generous for this 840 sq ft house. you´ll love the areas including the kitchen and bath. Guest can access all areas. I´m not around sometimes but you can reach me on the Airbnb app msg or by email. Instruction on how to arrive will be sent a few days before. There's always somebody around to help in case needed. Discover the famous Northern Catskill region with its ski resorts, hiking trails, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, and American fly fishing. If food is on the agenda, Conde Nast Traveler called the region "New York's culinary retreat." Want to drop the car? you can get to the property by bus! From NYC: Just take the Trail ways bus to Oneonta NY, and it will drop you a few hundred feet from the house. Same back to the city!. You can get here by bus from Albany, Buffalo, Montreal and many other cities in the region. If you want to use this method of transportation, I can assist with more information.

Modern cabin on the mountains of the western Catskills. There is a full kitchen, dishwasher, washer/dryer, an assortment of books, board games, puzzles, and an indoor wood-burning stove. There is reliable, high-speed fiber-optic wifi. There is no TV. Note: In winter (Dec-March at least) you will NEED a vehicle with AWD or 4WD to reach the cabin. The final .75 mile of the drive is a dirt road with a couple of hills that could be difficult for an FWD vehicle to safely get up or down.

Thank you, Jared for a great stay! I wanted a place that was peaceful and serene and this place was just right. After, a day in Hobart “The Book Village”…perusing and buying books…it was great to come back “home.” Everything felt cozy…there was nothing that was missing…all amenities were thought of…and I slept so well in the comfiest of beds. I will definitely come back again…when the books of Hobart call me. Jared’s place is the right fit for anyone who wants to reset and recharge.

Very cozy and peaceful and located near Howe Caverns and a short drive from some beautiful nature trails and waterfalls. My husband and I stayed in Brian’s Airbnb in Stamford, NY recently and we really loved our experience. Brian and his wife Liz are very friendly and welcoming, and the location at the foothills of the Western Catskills makes a perfect home base for exploring a truly beautiful part of upstate New York. Brian’s guest suite is well-equipped with everything one would need for a comfortable stay, and the heating worked very well during overnights that dropped into freezing temperatures. Quiet, relaxing, peaceful and comfortable! We recommend Brian’s guest suite on Airbnb.

A lovely secluded cabin. Everything is clear in description. Felt a little bigger than I imagined. Mud room & screened in porch are great for dropping shoes. It rained a bunch, so there was mud, Driveway is dirt road, so nice to leave shoes outside of house, but not outdoors. It is super quiet (except when running generator). Hot water was indeed instant with gene running. We turned it on & off with no problem. Wood burning stove worked great. 5-10 min run to town. Would gladly stay again !!

My family loved our stay in Stamford. Our family of 5 (including an 8 month old baby) were very comfortable and cozy here! My husband and I are upstate natives, so we knew what to expect from the area. Nicole was very helpful and communicative. Even after we had an issue arise, she coordinated and problem solved very efficiently. We would definitely visit again!

Hello! I wanted to share some feedback regarding the furniture. I found the tables and especially the seating to be uncomfortable. The benches without backrests make it difficult to relax or spend extended time sitting. For a more pleasant experience, I believe chairs with proper back support would be much better suited for rest and comfort. Thank you for understanding!
