I stayed at Griet's for a week while visiting Mechelen for a conference. The attic room is peaceful, comfortable, and like a little cottage atop of her house - private yet still connected through shared hallways, bathroom, and a gorgeous backyard. Griet was communicative and flexible with check in, supplied me with eggs from her chickens, and a powerful fan when the weather got very hot for a few days. She took time to talk with me about Mechelen and Belgium, and social issues in the world. Much of the time I was in and out of my room without much interaction, but openness to conversation and exchange really brightened my days. This was hands down one of my favorite experiences facilitated through AirBnB.

Every time when I look for accommodations on the Airbnb I try to search not only with my mind and eyes, but also with my heart. And this time it help me again found the best option. This tropical oasis in beautiful quiet street old district of Antwerp stolen my heart. And helped make my little dream about romantic princess's holidays come true. Everything was perfect: Ben met and greeted us, gave everything what we need, told about rules and instruction of house. He is a very friendly and helpful host. It was very pleasant conversation. Cozy comfortable bed, balcony, stairs in a beautiful house thought out to the smallest detail. Aesthetics and love in every detail. This is for connoisseurs!

We stayed here because we were going to a wedding party nearby. We could arrive late and let ourselves in with a key from a locker. Good bed, nice room. for people who are bad on their feet, the stairs may be a bit steep, but for us it was ok. The house is very nicely decorated. We had to leave the room at 9am, which was early after a short night.

Had a fantastic stay at Maarten's! Beautiful, well-kept, cozy room with bathroom, separate toilet, entrance hall and even private garden to sit outside. Everything is crisp and in order, with many details that make the stay very pleasant and cozy (towels, chocolates, coffee and tea, water, crockery/cutlery, microwave, nice smells and plants...). The location is excellent, close to Grote Markt, Zimmerplein and Begijnhof. You are also very close to the beautiful city wall, so you can easily cycle or walk in and out of the city. Most surprising for me was the peace and quiet: no traffic to be heard and the nights were dead silent. Maarten is very helpful without being intrusive. On the day of arrival, I could choose when I wanted to arrive, which is a huge luxury. The same applies for the departure day. After 3 nights, I just felt sorry to go home. Without a doubt, a real recommendation for those who want to visit Lier or want to cycle or walk in the region.

Perfect location, super nice room, safe area, pub around the corner. By bike via the expressway in 40 minutes in Antwerp. Jarl is super friendly, happy to help. Alone ... the bathroom was sometimes very popular... but beautifully furnished! 😀

Neat and well-equipped accommodation with nice private bathroom with toilet, shower and bathtub. The bedroom with fridge, microwave and coffee machine is spacious. The bed very comfortable. Station about a 20-minute walk away. Had a nice weekend stay at Tress's place. Repeatable.
