Amsterdam is 35 km (22 miles) away and easy to reach from Hoorn train station.

Swim in the Markermeer - bathe next to the meadows

Our cottage is located in the middle of the fields, a 45-minute drive from Amsterdam, in a small recreational park where another cottage of ours, Familie Buitenhuys, is also located. You will stay in a fully furnished and comfortable house with underfloor heating. The bright, playfully arranged spaces create an open and relaxing atmosphere. In the master bedroom, there is a freestanding bathtub by the window overlooking the meadows: Holland in its purest form. Suitable for up to 4 adults + 1 baby.

Description Bed and breakfast In a Glasshouse is located in Oostwoud, in the heart of Westfriesland. It is a cottage-style home located behind our glass studio, in the deep waterfront garden. It can be rented as a B&B but also as a vacation home for a longer period. There is, among other things, a Grand Cafe De Post around the corner where you can eat delicious food and a pizza eatery Giovanni Midwoud that also delivers. A motorboat is available for a fee. Welcome to our Wikkelhouse for 5 people. As the artist wrote with the artwork hanging in the cottage: "the longer I ponder, the bigger the pond." A pond with new ideas, beautiful experiences, encounters and relaxation that has not been felt for a long time. In this cottage, your faithful four-legged friend is allowed to come along! The fireplace, a nice terrace deck with luxurious outdoor furniture, a record player with surprising LPs, a well-filled game box. Enjoy!

Our cottage is in one of the most beautiful Waterland villages, Broek in Waterland. It is located in a beautiful area, 8 km from Amsterdam. The bus stop is a 3-minute walk away, so you can be at Amsterdam Centraal in 12 minutes. The guest house itself offers everything you need during a vacation. In our guesthouse, it is wonderful to "come home" after, for example, a busy day in the city, or, for example, a bike ride along all the nice villages here in the area.
