The Annex at The Oaks

The Annex is a separate building on two floors. The bedroom and bathroom are upstairs. There is a kingsize bed and a sofa bed available. We do provide extra laundry for the sofa bed at a cost of £15. Please let me know if you require the sofa bed making up. To access the bedroom are external stairs. Downstairs is a great open plan living space. There is private parking. Ross town is a mile away. PLEASE NOTE: the Annexe is next to a busy main road and traffic can be heard from the Annexe.

Our authentic elevated cabin is nestled among the trees and set within its own private orchard, bordered by a babbling brook. A perfect spot to get away from it all. There is plenty of covered outside space to while away the evenings submersed in nature and for the true outdoors experience try open-fire cooking with the Dutch oven and hanging barbeque. Best of all soak in the twin private baths overlooking the brook. Just add a glass of sparkling for an unforgettable experience.

You will be staying in a countryside escape on a busy working horse training yard, please be aware that, sometimes the horses do make a noise quite early in the morning but only before feeding time! Situated just outside Kington (down the bottom of a steep lane - below Kington Golf Course) in the heart of walking country - close to Welsh border towns. For walking - historic Offa’s Dyke is a few fields away. Hay-on-Wye (book festival) is a 20-minute drive away. Train stations are in Leominster or Hereford. Walkers and cyclists welcome.
