Wow! This place was above expectations, absolutely beautiful cottage and facilities. The cottage itself is so spacious and finished to a very high standard, spotlessly clean. The grounds and facilities on offer are superb. The location is stunning and perfect base for exploring the surrounding areas, so many places to visit. We’re already planning our next stay, thank you for a perfect stay!

Lovely stay over the New Year period. Great location with just a short walk into Pocklingto where there are lots of places to eat and drink. Would recommend.

Absolutely loved our stay at Cliff House with Jacquline. Beautiful location, swimming pool was such a bonus for the children, they loved it! The grounds were fantastic, such a lot to explore, our children loved the chickens and climbing frame and the private wood was great for hide and seek. Jacquline was such a great, friendly host and gave us great advice about visiting York. She even arranged an Easter egg hunt for our children. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend.

Stayed here with a few friends for a day out in York. Really lovely home and very clean. Had everything you needed. Pleasant walk into the centre of York which only takes 25 minutes. Would recommend.

Expensive but worth every penny for our 4 generation trip. Rooms for exuberant kids and quiet rooms for 90+ years old great grand parents. Large sociable kitchen diner . Swim spa at 35c so great for the Californian kids.

Myself, 9 others and 1 small dog booked on of Sue's fantastic cottages for a reunion weekend. Sue was very easy to communicate with, gave us the guidebook ahead of time virtually for any queries (we were very interested in the pizza oven and games room) Facilties were excellent, we were lucky that no other cottages on the site (only 3 others) were in use during our stay, so had free roam of the site and facilties. The local recommendations were brilliant. We went to the old black bull down the road for dinner on the first night and then again for roast dinner on Sunday - mega The house itself is just as shown in the photos, more than comfortable to sleep and house 10 of us for the weekend. Special mention to the hottub, (which is private for your house and I believe comes with all houses) and to Paul who was more than helpful coming to our rescue and reviving out pizza night when we experienced some issues with the oven. 10/10 would go again.

The house was perfect for my 50th celebration with family ( 6 adults, 6 kids and one dog), the garden lovely, the hot tub was used many times by all and the pool was great. Huge living room to fit us all in while still feeling spacious. Great communication with our fabulous hosts, house has everything, would highly recommend and would come again.

Lovely little place in beautiful countryside environment and a friendly pub just up the road (the grapes). There is an off lead dog walk directly outside the property. We loved our stay, opening the windows and listening to just the birds, the brook flowing right past the home, and the owls hooting at night. We would definitely return

This was by far the nicest place we’ve stayed in during our time in England! The apartment is extremely spacious and incredibly comfortable—perfect for relaxing and feeling at home. We especially loved the cozy living room, which was ideal for evening get-togethers. The host was wonderful—friendly, proactive, and provided all the information we needed ahead of time. The location is fantastic too: just a short walk to the city center, with plenty of great restaurants nearby. We also really appreciated the thoughtful restaurant recommendations available in the home. Highly recommend this place—we’d love to stay again!

We had a lovely stay at Mike's place. The house is in a great location on a quiet street with a nice walk into the city centre. The house was as desribed and very clean. Mike was a great host, providing lots of recommendations of things to do in the local area and very responsive to questions. I would definitely recommend it for a weekend trip to York.

Immaculately presented little hideaway just outside the centre within easy walk for food and drinks. The place is exceptionally homely, spotlessly clean and has absolutely everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Free parking is less than a minute walk away. Jim is an exceptional host and highly communicative. Will return and would highly recommended.

An amazing find! The house was so close to the city centre and, on a great little high street, it met all our needs! Allowing well-behaved dogs is really appreciated too. Sera was quick to reply to our communications, recommending great restaurants and coffee shops; the property exceeded our expectations and we would definitely book again the next time we’re in York. Great location - peaceful neighbourhood within walking distance of most major attractions as well as lots of local cafes and restaurants nearby on Bishopthorpe Road

Lara’s place was lovely and very easy to get too. On arrival we parked outside the property which was a bonus and was greeted with a lovely chocolate cake and a bottle of Prosecco. We loved sitting in the garden of a morning and an added bonus was the summer house! The easy walk into York took around 20 minutes along the river. Such a beautiful walk. This was an amazing house in the heart of medieval York. Not only that, but the house itself is 700+ years old and you can feel it's character through the amazing renovation that has been done! The Minster is visible from the windows of the property, so you know that the views are just breathtaking. There are plenty of amazing shops, cafes, restaurants, and other businesses in walking distance, while the world-famous Shambles street and market is 5 minutes away. Can't recommend this more.

We had a great time staying at The Dairyman’s cottage. It was perfect for our stay. Myself and my husband was invited to a wedding (no children in York). This space worked perfectly for us and our 3 children and my accompanying parents who came with us to babysit. The garden was perfect for an Easter egg hunt. The dining room great for a family dinner and the openness of being able to watch tv but see the children doing puzzles in the conservatory whilst chatting to my husband who was in the kitchen was great. The bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was great for all of us. The house felt very homely and we was so glad we went for this over a hotel. We got to York centre within a 10 min drive. The street was lovely and quiet. Would definitely recommend this house to families. We was very very happy with our stay :)

Another wonderful stay at Lynn’s beautiful home. Situated close to the river and perfect for an early 5k run and an easy stroll into the city centre. The house is cosy and the pretty courtyard garden is a tranquil space to relax. This was our second stay and we’ll definitely be back.

Lovely riverside home. Short walk to the Rambles, the Minster, Roman Wall and more. Easy check-in and a very warm welcome! A wonderful experience for our group of 4 ladies. The view is AMAZING!

Superb location, just few steps from the city center. Two groceries in less than 5 minutes. Clean property. The host Karen was very easy to reach, responsive and friendly.

This is a great space, really well located. We were here for work and the walk to the train station through the park and alongside the river was very pleasant. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it

Graham and Mandy’s place was spectacular - it was clean, quiet and came with everything we needed. The transport was also handy: we were able to take Bus 6 to easily go to the city centre and to the University. Last but not least, Graham and Mandy were super hosts: very friendly and responded all our messages fast - thanks for hosting us!
