Despite the passage of time and the urban development that has changed many parts of Kyoto, the Ima-Kumano Shopping Street is still a living history. Today it is quieter, mostly frequented by local residents, and still retains the nostalgic atmosphere of the traditional shopping street. Just a 1-minute walk from the B&B, there is a 24-hour Fresco supermarket for easy shopping at any time; a 3-minute walk to a 24-hour 7-Eleven convenience store. A private rental inn "Atan" quietly stands on the banks of the Gojo Takase River This space, where natural materials such as cedar, earth, and Japanese paper breathe quietly, blends into the city of Kyoto, but the flow of time feels gentle. There is a small courtyard through the bathroom window. Just by soaking in the hot water and letting yourself go with the view of the changing seasons, your mind will melt away.
