Family-friendly holiday rentals in Homestead Valley

I saw the pics, read about the IndigoTopia and didn't know what I was getting myself into., it was a literally Zen Den. My vibrations are SO high I can barely handle being this happy after our experience at Karli and her families property. The energy is buzzing, literally. Everything is in bloom. The location is at a perfect height as far as having a healthy happy breeze to keep things/us cool. There are rock sculptures, statues, crystals galore, buddhas literally laid into the concrete around the property. We saw rabbits, quail families and a roadrunner. I cannot state how incredibly pleased we are and am so thrilled about someday going back. I literally love IndigoTropia and want one of my own!!! Keep it up Karli and family, you have created a real treasure in the RimRock/Pioneertown area, a real gem, a crystal x 1M! :-)

Great place with awesome amenities. Pool and hot tub were awesome. Spent many hours playing table tennis. Definitely going to come back!

Coreys dome house is the best styled Airbnb I have rented- its gorgeous with tasteful and interesting art & curiosities. It feels more like staying in a cool friends' home than a rental home. We took great use of the hot tub and well equipped kitchen and the very convenient entrance to Joshua Tree Park.

The home was clean and quiet. The air conditioning worked very well in the desert heat. This is a great place to stay if you have dogs, as the property is fully fenced in. The host was very helpful with finding the location and checking in.

My friends and I had so much fun here it’s a beautiful property and I think it healed me haha it has everything you could want in a little get away :) would just say the only issue we had was one of the rooms doesn’t have black out curtains so bring sleep eye masks luckily I had one but we will definitely be back loved it !

Cool, funky desert house with thoughtful vintage and local touches. Tons of indoor and outdoor seating and super private. The hot tub underneath the Joshua Tree was a great touch!

This is really a wonderful property in Joshua Tree. I’m not sure there is another place like it. The location in the rocks on the edge of the park is primo. Obviously the pool is the jewel, but the cave, the location, the artistic decoration of the house and the landscaping really do create a special place. My children (13,13,8) in particular had a great time enjoying themselves splashing into the pool and exploring all the rocks and caves and wildlife surrounding the place. I enjoy astrophotography and there were some spots with clear northern skies if that’s something you do. I’d absolutely stay again. And I know my kids would jump right in. Dale is a character. Let him show you around when you arrive. He will point out amenities and give you a little history that provides some fun historical backdrop. Ask about Goonies.

We stayed two nights to explore Joshua Tree. It is an approx. 10 minute drive to get in the park but approx. 30-50 minutes to get to the sights Joshua Tree has to offer (such as Cholla Cactus Garden). I loved all the tiny details that were put in the apartment. Even a layout including exit doors was available as well as a welcome book with all important details.😊 The kitchen was fully equipped and all amenities described on the listing were available.

This was our second stay here. It’s so beautiful, clean, quiet, and a perfect location. The views are amazing, especially at night. It’s safe and feels remote but isn’t far from JTNP.

Really cool place…peace and quiet, nice views, close to the park. Very roomy inside and very well insulated. We opened all the windows at night and closed them all before we left for the park. The place was still nice and cool inside when we got back. Breakfast on the front porch, outstanding. We would highly recommend this place.

This was our first time in Joshua Tree, and quite honestly I can’t imagine a better place to have stayed. The house itself feels as though it was built from the surrounding area - incredibly homey while also being stylish. It was extremely comfortable and it was in the perfect location. The view is incredible and the sunsets and sunrises are precious. Cannon the host was wonderful to communicate with and was very friendly. I would recommend this stay to anyone.

Linda’s place was beautiful! her home was so clean and the ac worked wonders! Her kitchen has everything you will need and was spotless. Had a wonderful stay with beautiful star views (we were able to see Mars!) thank youuu

My husband and I stayed at Heike and Georg’s cozy desert home for a birthday staycation and it was everything we could have hoped for! The temperature was perfect to make use of the pool and the privacy made spending lots of outdoor time all the better. Aside from the pool, we loved the homey and curated decor which left us feeling creative and inspired throughout the trip. Heike and Georg were very accommodating, even giving us an early check in so we could make the most of our trip. They were also very responsive with all of our questions and made our stay that much better.

Her house was well organized and everything was perfect. There are also stars, books, and telescopes to observe the stars. Yoga mat, light with timer, extra paper towels, etc... It's a very perfect house. I would stay again next time.

One of the most thoughtfully designed airbnbs I've ever stayed at. Lot's of wonderful books, records and trinkets that make you feel you're in an artists residence. The garden is magical, and the patio is wonderful to sit at. Just note that because some of the stuff is quite vintage, it's not like staying at a typical newly refurbished airbnb, e.g. bath is a bit wonky, bed a bit creaky and no dishwasher. But the overall aesthetic and beautiful place really makes up for it.

This is the 4th time we have stayed here. We love it!! There is a hill of boulders that leaves me breathless every time I look at it. To see this hill with the rare Big Horned Sheep, takes me over the top emotionally. We also love the landscaping with the natural desert in mind. The house is decorated to fit the desert and the most well equipped Airbnb we,’ve ever stayed at. We spent a lot of time out in the patio watching the Chuckwallas, Roadrunners, Quail and Big Horned Sheep. There’s a ton of birds also. When it got warm, we went in the pool. The temperature of the water was perfect. Super refreshing on a hot day.

This is a beautifully restored mid-century home with a huge pool. It's up on a hill which provides beautiful views of the mountains and night sky. If you're looking for peace and quiet and a great place to chill, this is it. Would definitely stay here again.

Diane was an incredible host! Her and the Hidden Passage crew have created such a beautiful and peaceful oasis and made mine and my partner’s anniversary vacation an absolute dream! It truly felt like we were removed from society for a small moment and that’s exactly what we needed. The property was so well managed and kept so pristine! Every staff member we met on site was so kind and extremely helpful! I could not recommend this place enough! Also the pool rocks, we spent every single day in it!

Had an amazing weekend getaway! The home was perfect. Very private, great scenery, peaceful, quiet, and sooo relaxing. Carolann and Andreas’s home made us feel right at home. Hosts were very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. We spent most of our time enjoying the warm pool and hot spa. Got a chance to see a few shooting stars from the spa, even with the moon being so bright, which was a plus Definitely a five star location. Thank you again!!

Our second trip to The Rosy Boa just ended and we can’t wait to come back! It’s such a comfortable, relaxing spot - a perfect home base for Joshua Tree adventuring. Thank you for having us!

The holiday house is the perfect remote getaway. You'll find everything you need to make an amazing meal in the kitchen. You can get lost in the beautiful art all around the gardens and inside the house. The 360° views of the landscape are absolutely breathtaking and the night sky is otherworldly. This is by far my favorite stay out in the high desert.

Fantastic!!!! Our vacation at Oded’s place in Yucca Valley exceeded our expectations. Oded provided excellent directions and instructions on how to enter the property and responded quickly if we had a question. The interior of the house is clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and the kitchen has everything you will need. We especially enjoyed the espresso machine. 😊 The exterior is even more amazing. Plenty of furniture for lounging; the saltwater pool is perfect for swimming or just relaxing. Sitting in the jacuzzi at night and watching the stars was incredible. An added treat were the two owls that showed up each night and sat in the nearby Yucca Trees. We highly recommend Oded’s place and will definitely return.

We enjoyed our night at this wonderful little spot while visiting Joshua tree. It was nice and close to the Yucca valley town ship which made getting to restaurants etc easy. The view and surrounds were gorgeous. Everything was clean modern and comfortable, with a nice homely feel. We wish we had longer there!
