It is made from predominantly natural materials. The ground floor of the house, along with the bathroom, is accessible and accessible for people with disabilities. From the ground floor, you climb a wooden staircase into the loft area, which, in addition to the bedroom with balcony and views of the meadows, offers a sauna and bathtub for added relaxation.

Apartment is located in Zavrhek, a small village 7 minutes from Primorska highway and few minutes drive from Škocjanske caves which are a part of UNESCO heritage. Another monument worth visiting is 20 minute drive to Lipica and its Lipizzan stud farm. Nature lovers will find our little village calming as you can walk around safely. For cyclists there are many marked routes around Zavrhek, mostly passing through woods and meadows. Our apartment can accommodate up to 4 people.

Emma's apartment is a space of great energy, in every detail you can feel Emma's great attention to her guests and to the most authentic human contact. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with smiles and enthusiasm, water and fresh tea awaited us in the fridge, as well as fruit, biscuits, and coffee for breakfast the next day. The apartment is surrounded by greenery and is located along the Via Flavia, a place for walkers in search of refreshment. The silence and tranquility of waking up in the morning is priceless, as are the meaningful chats with Emma, a host like few others who really wants to get in touch with the people she hosts, always with discretion, respect and great empathy. I hope that the roads of life will bring us back to this path full of light and serenity. Thanks Emma!

We loved every minute here! The photos do not do it justice – – it’s far more beautiful in person. The views over trees and the water are spell – binding. We would sit and watch as the sky and the water as the light changed. It was very easy to hike up on the Napoleonic way or down to the seaside. The kitchen was great and it was fun to cook with fresh Italian ingredients. I enjoyed a few swims even in cooler weather. But it was particularly a good place for us to hole up and reboot, take a break and get work done. We hope to make this an annual retreat. Petra and Ivan were particularly helpful, and went out of their way to support our stay and even extend it. We are very grateful!
