Guesthouse holiday rentals in Hudson River

A massive thank you to Julian and Karen! I brought my girlfriend here for our 5 year anniversary and it did not disappoint. The cabin was so cozy and our hosts were so kind. Woodstock was a really cool area and it is only 20 minutes away from the cabin. We would love to come back in the future :)

We absolutely loved Maple Hill Farms. It's a wonderful place and a perfect choice for a trip to the Berkshires if you're an animal lover. The best part of our weekend was bonding with Philip's sweet and friendly donkeys! The studio is well laid out with everything you need, the farm is beautiful and peaceful (except for the roosters, haha!), and the location is great for visiting local sights like Mass MoCA and The Mount. We hope to be back!

We were stunned by how magical this place was with all it's uniqueness of historic house. Spotless clean, spacious, very friendly owners. Our kids loved running around the back yard and playing board games that were provided. We would definitely come back, the only thing we regret is that we couldn't stay for longer, the area is very picturesque. many thanks!

I can’t say enough good things about this place! I don’t think the pictures do it justice! If you are looking for an authentic Vermont experience, look no further, the cabin is so dialed, it’s in an idilic setting, super quiet and a ton of privacy but very close to town and anything you’d need. In the summer, at night, leave the windows open and enjoy the sound of the brook and stream directly below the cabin! Highly recommended!!

I stayed at Angela’s yurt for Memorial Day weekend. It was exactly as described. My boyfriend and I had a very peaceful long weekend. The space was cozy and adorable and we especially loved the wood burning stove. Was a great stay, would definitely return and highly recommend.

Ed & Ann are gracious hosts. They were friendly and attentive to our needs. We were enchanted by the country charm of the historic guest house they have been restoring. The location is serene and bucolic with a laughing creek just outside the kitchen window. The kitchen is well stocked to cook meals, or drive to restaurants half an hour away. Our stay was a tranquil respite from our taxing responsibilities at home.

This was my family's fourth stay at the farm and as usual it exceeded our expectations. The serenity of the beautiful environs and well appointed home makes you never want to venture out! From the Steinway Piano to everything you could reach for or need being at your fingertips is amazing. The house is beyond well appointed with the most luxurious linens, chef's kitchen, and beautiful views from every angle. My children loved interacting with the highland cows naming each of them. My dog, Bear, was in heaven galloping along the vast property. The owners Tom and Karen are LOVELY and just the kindest most accommodating hosts with incredible taste. We cannot wait to return! Thank you for more amazing memories!

Alex’s place was as described. It was clean and had a well equipped kitchen and great back yard with Adirondack chairs looking off to the distance. We were racing around and could not enjoy much. The place is ideal for a couple or two friends (one when bed?). The stairs to the bedroom are very steep as described so this would not be the best spot for all. It is closer to Putney than you might think so do not let that be a concern..

beth was wonderful. the place was great. she was so sweet and kind and made sure we had a great weekend. would definitely recommend. the pond with fish was fun to feed them. the little recommendations book she made was very helpful. we were there for an event over the weekend and it was very relaxing and we enjoyed our time.

Great experience! 2 wineries within 1 mile. Close to great hiking. William, was very accommodating with check in & check out time. Would highly recommend staying here. Very cute , clean and comfortable with get amenities.

My husband and I arrived late, around 9:30pm, because we had commuted after work in NYC. Everything was impeccable. The home is perfect in some many ways. We felt very comfortable and got an amazing night's sleep. The following more we had to head out early to pick our daughter up from Binghamton. She stayed with us on our second night. Nicolette's and Tim's Tiny Horse Barn is so perfect. It is exact amount of space we needed. Even though the space is space, there were 5 tissue boxes in perfect locations. This may seem a small thing to some. But if you have allergies, it is SO appreciated. The kitchen was equipped with keurig coffee pods, creamers, sugar, tea kettle and more than everything we needed. Equally the bathroom was perfect. The beds were super comfortable as was the temperature. There were plenty of great restaurants nearby. The attention to detail is amazing. Everywhere there are little hints of horses, but not in an overwhelming way. We actually are having book sent :)

No reason not to stay here. Clean, uncluttered and nice location. Had everything I needed for a comfortable stay.

Stephanie's place was an oasis of peace and calm while assisting my father getting surgery at Dartmouth Hitchcock. I actually took the bus to the area and the local free bus is great, with a stop right at the end of the block. really enjoyed sitting in the swing and watching the hens!

We really enjoyed staying at the casita. It was beautifully decorated, clean, and comfy. We enjoyed New Paltz and the outdoor activities in the area. Highly recommend staying here for a fun weekend getaway!

We had a really good time staying at this place, everything was better than in the pictures, wonderful view, very clean apartment, I would rent it again!

I hope John will rename the place “The Cow House”. We enjoyed watching the cows every morning over coffee as they work their way across the property. While I love the windows to see the magnificent scenery (including cows) I wish there was a curtain option upstairs - 05:00 sunrise can be rough. The hot tub was fantastic and we got a chance to be in with the evening mist at dusk. We really enjoyed our time.

Jill and T. were amazing hosts, quite possibly the nicest and all around best that I've experienced. They were attentive and incredibly kind, and together have a presence to them that makes you feel comfortable and right at home. They also were a wealth of knowledge about the surrounding area, the property, and the trails that are accessible right down the road from the guest house. The guest house itself is across the large driveway from the main house, and while close, it feels properly secluded and private. Inside, it is impeccably furnished with the styling and taste that only someone well traveled could do so well: books about sculptors, poetry, classics, Vermont history. Beautiful furniture and an inviting layout of the space. The furnishings, books, kitchen setup, and many places to sit and relax, were as much part of the greatness as the nature surrounding it. I will absolutely come back here for the relaxation, the amenities, and also the lovely hosts.

Beautiful place to stay at an affordable price! I recommend wholeheartedly. Host was friendly and helpful. The space was clean. I couldn’t have asked for a better place.

The Eco Cottage was a perfect, tiny gem tucked away in the middle of the beautiful green woods. It was so private, peaceful, and serene. It truly felt like my own little retreat and since I was there to go on a retreat, this was the perfect place to lay my head at night. I loved walking the trails and wow, the pool, which looked so inviting (even if it was a bit too chilly to use this time!). Everything was clean, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. Hosts checked in regularly but gave me my privacy. I really enjoyed my stay SO MUCH and will absolutely be booking here again the next time I’m in the area. Highly recommend!

I can't imagine staying anywhere else, Jeff and Dawn set an extremely high bar. The home is beautiful, clean, and as described. Jeff is responsive, warm, and wonderful to talk to. We will absolutely be staying again, I can't thank you enough! See you again soon!

Easy to find, key pad entry, clean. Graham left some fresh eggs from his hens..nice touch. Quiet spot in a natural setting.
