Fitness-friendly holiday rentals in Iberian Peninsula

As a couple in their late 50’s this place was ideal. It was in the centre of all the tourist attractions, restaurants and cafe’s. We love walking so staying here made sense as we just walked around everywhere and didn’t have to spend on tram, buses or taxi. The flat was a lovely size and had everything in it to make you comfortable. The only thing I would say as it’s above a bar/restaurant and lots of other restaurants in the area it is noisy till early parts of the morning but that didn’t bother us as we just loved how central it was to everything and we could pop in and out of the flat with ease. If you are one who needs absolute peace and quiet then this flat will not be for you. Communication was very good with the host and instructions on getting to the flat were very clear. We took the bus to and from the airport for 6 euros which was brilliant. Thank you very much Boutike for everything- we really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely recommend.

I had the pleasure of staying in this loft with five friends, and as an architect, I was truly impressed by the quality of the space—both aesthetically and functionally. The apartment immediately captivates with its warm and welcoming atmosphere, defined by a thoughtful use of materials. The exposed wooden beams add character and authenticity, creating a beautiful contrast with the carefully curated furnishings. The abundance of greenery is not only visually pleasing but also enhances the sense of serenity and liveliness throughout the space. From a spatial perspective, the layout is well-organized and comfortable, even for a larger group. Natural light is another major highlight, and the apartment looks exactly as shown in the photos. The location is also excellent for exploring the city, and the check-in process was smooth, fast, and clearly explained. Carla’s place is clean, well-kept and it has everything you need for a good vacation. The location is super convenient for exploring Lagos and beyond. The Iberlagos apartment complex has a large pool and a direct access to the beautiful Dona Ana beach and a short walk to Lagos’ old town. So easy, comfortable and practical! Carla is also a very communicative and polite host, and she also gave us excellent tips for restaurants. Thank you!

Beautiful apartment right on Plaza Mayor. Well appointed, really interesting antiques and art (and furniture), just a wonderful experience, practically and aesthetically. Really just one of our favorite stays ever. We happened to be staying there during the San Isidro festival, so the square was full of people and workers erecting a giant stage (followed by lots of sound checks). Worth noting that the windows do an amazing job of blocking out the noise from the square. Practicalities: great location (although there's a half block walk from any street), near the sights and the markets and so much of the heart of Madrid. Grocery store less than a block away. Tons of great food nearby. Only downside: the apartment was so beautiful that we explored less than we would have otherwise!

We stayed here as a family of 9 with three kids. It was such a great place in the heart of Madrid. We could walk everywhere and the location was perfect. Miguel was so accommodating and very responsive. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

My family stayed here for 4 nights during a longer visit in Portugal. This was by far our favorite Airbnb of the trip! The apartment is conveniently located, just steps from the beach and a 5-10 minute walk into town. We enjoyed the home, especially the outdoor area and hammock where we spent a lot of time relaxing. There’s even a comfortable living area where we lounged in the evenings. I’d highly recommend this rental!

This place is a true gem, and so is alvaro. The apartment is spacious and gorgeous, much more beautiful than the pictures even. It was packed with food and everything you could possibly need. I have never seen such generosity from an apartment or an accommodation of any kind. Alvaro was considerate and very kind, he provided a dog bed and water for my dog, and he helped us check in early. What a lovely time we have had, the apartment is a 15 minutes walk to a sandy beach.Several bars and shops within walking distance. The huge rooftop terrace is where we stayed most of our holiday. It is well equipped with sun loungers, table and chairs, BBQ and shower, also incredibly safe.The pool area was fantastic, the kids spent most of the holiday in the pool, the pool area was only accessible by a key which also made it safe and private. Best of all our host Marcos,he could not have done any more to make our holiday any more enjoyable.He provided us with baguettes, pastries, milk, water, sliced meat, drinks, champagne, beer,ice creams, wine and the big bowl of fruit.He kept topping us up all week. Also toothbrushes, shower gel,tea bags,coffee pods, dishwasher and washing machine tablets. Pool towels on our arrival as we arrived before check in and tshirts as a gift to the children when we left and arranged taxis. He made us feel safe and looked after. Marcos you deserve 6Stars

Natacha’s apartment was a wonderful base for our time in Lisbon. The apartment is so well stocked - we travelled with our 15m old and there was a high chair, baby bath and even cutlery for her. The flat itself was clean and tidy, very comfortable and we found it quiet even though there were some building works going on across the street. The pool area was absolutely fantastic and an extra bonus was the underground parking. Would recommend to anyone visiting Lisbon, especially those with children. Thanks Natacha for being so kind and helpful during our stay!

Lola and her husband are great hosts, the apartment corresponded with how it was described, everything was very clean, practical things were provided in the apartment (e.g. Towels for the swimming pool). Lola also provided us with a lot of information for things to do in the area, thanks!

We had an amazing stay at Julia’s place! The view alone is worth the stay. It’s very quiet, comfortable and just up the street from old town. Great restaurants and coffee and beaches within walking distance. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Ericeira this is the place!

Nice place, has lots of room and close to the train station. Jackie was very responsive and flexible the check in time. highly recommended.

Fantastic and Excellent!!! Victor is friendly and an excellent communicator. The accommodation; Better than photos. with secure parking by the front door. Entrance then split level. First floor has a full size kitchen with a door leading to a BBQ area. A toilet. A dinning area and sofa area with big sliding doors with a lovely view and balcony with an out door table for six people. The next floor has a bathroom/ toilet etc, three bedrooms with one having an on suite bathroom. All bedroom are on the pool level with sun loungers and jacuzzi. It’s a great place to swim and sunbathe. Relaxing, great restaurants. Perfect. Lots to do and within driving distance to major water activities / Dolphin tours. We hired a boat, no license needed for small motor boat, dolphins swam next to the boat, It was amazing. Large Shopping plaza one hour drive through the hills, smaller ones closer. Yes there is a McDonalds, Lidl,Aldi and Spanish supermarkets. Old town near the castle. Will be back!

Sanama's Blue House is beautiful. It was located near a market, pharmacy, many restaurants and literaly steps away from the beach. You can also catch bus 35 from across the pharmacy and it takes you right by the Cathedral. Sanam communicated well and immediately with us when we had questions. I would definitely stay here again. The evening still along the coast were amazing too!!!

Fantastic peaceful location. We stayed here for 2 nights to recharge whilst driving from the UK to Spain. It was exactly as described. The rooms were great, upstairs very comfortable and the views were lovely. Unrestricted hot tub time was a bonus considering we arrived at 11pm after a long day of driving. The pool was refreshing, not heated but it wasn’t needed as it was the perfect temperature. Very innovative. Only one remark: The key to the property was supposed to be an electric tag but they hadn’t told us this was not working and due to be fixed. Therefore when we went out for the day we had to leave the property unlocked. Obviously concerning but the location was very safe. I’m sure others would remove one star due to this, but there was so many positives about this place it would be unfair to lower the rating.

7 of us stayed here for 3 nights and honestly had such an amazing time. We had lots planned so didn’t spend an excessive amount of time in the villa but the time we did was just brilliant - the pool / outdoor areas were just magic! Will be back :)

We had a fabulous stay at Hector and Marta's place. It was a proper airbnb and was a home from home. The apartment was spotless and well equipped. Beds were extremely comfortable. Lots of little extras provided to make our stay more enjoyable. The views from the kitchen and the patio area were amazing and the pool was fabulous especially as we had it completely to ourselves. Hector was very helpful throughout our stay and always replied quickly to any questions. Would highly recommend this airbnb as it is one of the best we have stayed in.

We were very well received by our hosts with good recommendations for activities to do in the area. The garden, the pool and the 'pool house' are shared with another accommodation, but in fact we made sure not to cross paths so it's not really a problem. The private spaces are perfect for a good stay in tranquility for two. Breakfast is excellent. We recommend this accommodation, with a small + if you come as two couples. Thanks!
