We had a beautiful stay this weekend at Gills lodge, it is in a peaceful location and has lovely attention to detail inside with everything you could need and more! Bude is a short drive away, with lovely bars & restaurants, along with nice coastal walks! Highly recommend <3

A lovely stay in gorgeous surrounds! The scenery is beautiful, and the silence at night makes for a truly restorative experience. For future visitors, it’s helpful to keep in mind that "off-grid" means limited refrigeration space—we initially brought more food than the mini fridge could accommodate. Since this is a working farm, there may be interactions with livestock, as we experienced when the neighboring sheep wandered into the meadow. For those with dogs unfamiliar with farm life, this might require some flexibility. However, Hadyn and Caroline went above and beyond to ensure our dog could enjoy the space—at one point even rounding up the sheep themselves! Their dedication made all the difference and added to the charm of this truly special retreat.

If you are looking for total relaxation, this location is ideal for you, secluded extremely private and wonderful wildlife to be seen. Extremely responsive host Ellen was on hand if required. I have no concerns in recommending this accommodation

Absolutely beautiful stay at The Den, private, peaceful, amazing surroundings. The perfect place to unwind for a couple of nights!

We had a really lovely couple of nights away in the cabin, it was perfect for 2 adults and our 1 child who enjoyed exploring the farm and animals. The location is idyllic, a peaceful spot to escape busy life, with everything you need, small but perfectly formed with great rustic details. We enjoyed the hot tub which was easy to use, and had a lovely day out at nearby Dunster and Dunster beach. The cabin gets the evening sun and we enjoyed a glass of wine with a view watching the rabbits!

Thank you for the most lovely break from 7th - 15th June 2025. The lodge was absolutely beautiful! Very clean, spacious and private. The pictures don’t do this place justice! It’s bigger than the pictures make it seem! The lodge is very well equipped too. Hosts are very responsive and friendly. Would recommend this lodge to anybody. Leah & Dan x

Fantastic 2 nights. Peaceful and secluded and beautiful surroundings. Hot tub is excellent, spent lovely evening looking at the stars around the firepit. Felt like we were the only people there. Perfect getaway. Becky the host was very friendly, with easy to follow directions to the farm. Would love to stay again.

Perfect getaway if ur trying to have a break from busy day to day life, perfect settings and perfect hosts. Highly recommend if u want to relax in peace and quiet in the country.

We had the best time here! The location is so peaceful and beautiful... waking up to see deer in the meadow outside our window was a highlight. A big comfy bed made for a great night's sleep, and the nearby Mason Arms provided the best meal we've eaten in a long time with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. We were also delighted with how accommodating our hosts were of our dog, who also enjoyed himself. Everyone we met including our hosts were lovely and friendly. There are some incredible walks a short drive away (and I'm sure plenty even nearer but we wanted to do some of the SW coastal path so did not explore the immediate vicinity). Cabin is so cute and comfy. All in all, a really enjoyable stay and no complaints :)

We really enjoyed our Easter 🐣 weekend at Cabin in the Woods. The cabin itself had everything to make our stay perfect.. it was super cosy. The outdoor space was just perfect for our Labrador. We used it as a base for a few daytime adventures. Saunton Sands was definitely our favourite. It’s the best beach to take a fur baby 🐾. We also really enjoyed our visit to the local pub / restaurant ‘The Farmers Arms’ - a very unique place with the most perfect garden for an evening wine 🤩 We will definitely be back to stay at Cabin in the Woods - thanks Kate ☺️

Very comfortable cabin, lovely views all around, pretty and large garden area, quiet, all facilities you require, wonderful walking nearby. Highly recommended.

Beautiful stay in a beautiful place. We stayed in Alexa's cabin for a week and used it as a base for exploring Cornwall and North Devon. The cabin is lovely and well equipped. It was clean, tidy, fresh and comfortable. Alexa is a great host and provided really helpful instructions for finding and accessing the cabin, as well as using the shower, hot water, etc. The rooms are lovely and our puppy was right at home, too. The view from the cabin is excellent and it's a very peaceful setting. There are great beaches nearby and there's lots to see in the area but it's also lovely to come back and watch the sun set over those amazing satellite dishes. Thank you so much. We hope to come back!

A great place to stay - the lodge was immaculate and had everything you could possibly need. It’s super close to the beach, town centre and supermarkets, but also far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet. It’s been a lovely couple of days and we wish we could’ve stayed longer. The restaurant on site is a bit naff, £95 for 4 mains and a drink each, fine if you just want a quick drink - that’s more our fault for not paying attention to Sarah’s recommendations though. Thank you for being a great host, we’ll hopefully be able to stay with you again soon!

We have just got back from a lovely few days at mapowder lodge with our two dogs. Michelle and Dean were really friendly and welcoming with great knowledge and suggestions of the local area. The lodge itself is in a great location, was very clean and comfortable and well equipped with everything you would need. The lodge was very dog friendly and it was great having a lovely garden and use of the paddocks. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend :)

was perfect as a night away for my partners birthday

Stayed for a month whilst relocating and the Ramshackle was perfect. The most incredible views, really quiet, peaceful and had everything you needed for a long stay. The location was amazing, 8 mins to the hospital and quick/easy to explore the beautiful local area. Steve was super helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Added bonus, three of the most friendly, adorable cats that popped over to say hi most days!

Was on a course at St Luke’s Campus for a few days and this was the perfect accommodation for the job - sparkling clean, big comfy bed, lovely smell, plenty of space and really well equipped in a private ‘hideaway’ at the end of the garden - bathroom and sink / cooking area are outside but don’t let that put you off! It’s beautifully done and super clean and comfy to use and undercover. So nice to be surrounded by plants and trees, free tea/coffee and breakfast bits. Just 5 mins walk from campus and free parking sorted over the road via residents permit. Wouldn’t hesitate to return, thank you! :-)

Was a beautiful stay, arrival easy, room cosy and clean and smelt beautiful. Bergamont and Honey diffuser. Some of the wood on the decking could do with replacing. Stunning views, big and clean hot top, this was my first trip away for some time and it did not disappoint!

Staying at Forda lodges was nothing short of incredible. We loved every second of the countryside with some great areas around to visit. Our favourite part of our holiday was the beautiful Tintagel castle (about a 40 minute drive). The pool and hot tub were lovely and warm and the general activities around the site got us on our feet for a good while. The cottage itself was amazing and very cozy. Will definitely be coming back.

We had a lovely stay. On the whole, very peaceful and relaxing. There was unfortunately some work going on next door for a couple of days. The host did message and let us know. It is understandable but it was a bit sad because we had enjoyed the peace and quiet so much the other days. Beautiful walks nearby, which our dog and us enjoyed. Also lovely just to chill in the garden with a cider. Kitchen well stocked and a good shower. Steep stair ladder up to bedroom, took me a bit of getting used to but got there in the end. Overall a lovely stay watching the birds and did not miss the tv at all Thank you

Alice’s cabin was the perfect countryside escape. The place has an adorable cottage vibe and was spotlessly clean. Tucked away in a beautiful private spot, it offered incredible views and some very charming sheep to complete the scene! We loved spending afternoon around the outdoor fire pit and grill even in the slightly miserable British weather, it felt cosy and magical. Indoors was even better: curling up by the fireplace, which was so thoughtfully stocked with kindling, wood, and firelighters, made it feel like a real home away from home. The fairy lights indoors were such a nice touch too. Alice went above and beyond with some lovely food gifts from their own farm, a truly special touch - the cookies in particular! I’ll dream about those now. This was exactly the peaceful reset my girlfriend and I needed from our usual fast-paced city life. Can’t recommend it enough! 5*****

We absolutely LOVED this property. It was honestly perfect for our stay. The location is fantastic, only 5 mins walk to either the beach or the town, with a little cut through out the back of the site. The lodge itself was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated with very comfy beds. It's a quiet tranquil spot with its own parking space directly outside. I would return here in a heartbeat! Thank you!
