House holiday rentals in Illinois River

We had our 9 person family here with our 3 dogs and the space was perfect. Lots of games and pool time for the kids and adults alike. The charcoal grill was hard to get right but we are just not used to dealing with that type of grill! Lots of hiking in nearby areas.

We stayed for a week while my son attended sports camp at U of I and it was perfect. The house was well stocked with more than we could have asked for and it made it easy to function as if we were home. From kitchen supplies to the laundry to comfortable bedding it has all you will need. The pool was great to have and the location is wonderfully close to campus.

We would love to stay here again. I appreciate your flexibility—a wonderful host.

This Airbnb is a dream. From the beautiful property to the beautiful home, we loved every minute of our time. Everything was very clean, organized and easy to find. They even went above and beyond to return items that we had forgotten in the house. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a private retreat or good quality family time.

Based on the address provided, it was difficult to locate- but once a local store owner told me where it was, the home exceeded expectations!

I almost didn't click on the option for "looked like the pictures" because the pictures don't do this place justice. Yes, it's a beautiful home. It's also a beautiful neighborhood. Welcoming, kind neighbors, and very quiet. It's the little things though, that stand out the most. The layout of the house is perfect for families. You can spread out and enjoy some "me" time, sneak away to take a nap, or just lounge on one of the big comfy couches as you visit with your family. Do you want to cook? Buy the ingredients and trust the kitchen has all the utensils you'll need. Do you have kids? Older kids have their phones; if you want to get them outside it's gorgeous there too. Do you have a 3 year old though? Netflix and Bluey can only do so much. That's where Nathan swoops in to save you. They have provided such a thoughtful variety of toys and "things" to keep your kids occupied. The beds & rooms are WONDERFUL! I have so much to rave about & not enough space in this box. 1000% recommend.

We had a great 2 night stay for 4 adults. The house was spacious, very clean, quiet, and the beds were super comfortable. The location was easy to get to, and it is fairly close to both Starved Rock and Mathiessen. We will definitely be back!!

Beautiful older home with creeky floors, huge rooms, spacious kitchen and dining, even floor registers. Was full of antique things and great memories if your family has owned a home like this before. Very quiet area. Great location. Kitchen well stocked. It was very easy to get in and out with the self-checkin codes. Enjoyed playing games and relaxing. Beds are nice. Only be aware they are very soft mattresses, in the event you have someone with back problems. Highly recommend this place. Owners were responsive and prompt with any communication, and their expectations were clear.

As soon as we walked in, the house felt like home. The house was very clean as well as towels and linens. Being the house was built long ago, it had charming features. We had a rainy day and had a blast staying in and playing ping pong and air hockey! Elaine was a great host. We ate at Fire on Fifth and Jorge’s Margaritas & grill. Thoroughly enjoyed both restaurants. Thank you Elaine!

This was peaceful get away. Loved watching the birds, sitting on the front porch, grilling, playing games and chillin around the fire pit at night. The beds and pillows were very comfy. Everyone upstairs controlled their own heat/air so we got to regulate our own bedroom temperatures. The Farmhouse makes you feel like you are visiting family. Comfort away from home. The kitchen was well stocked so we cooked several meals instead of eating out. There were several nice hometown eateries near and did not take long to get to when we chose to go out to eat. Loved our stay at the Farmhouse. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway.

Very cozy home, super clean, just like the pictures but better. My son had so much fun on the pedal boat fishing. Having a place out front for our dog was accommodating and let us relax as well. She has everything you could possibly “what if” need for your stay, we will definitely be keeping this ace in our back pocket when we are passing through again!

Loved Greg. Very kind and helpful. The house is awesome. The layout is perfect. Easy parking. The beautiful view out the back is seen even from the front entrance. Bedroom is upstairs and the other downstairs -lots of privacy. Full bathrooms on both bedroom floors. Nice! Up to date. Loved the coffee maker, we used both options, brewing ground coffee for pots and k-cups for singles. We would book again if we return to town.

Stayed at Mitch’s while visiting friends and family back home. Mitch’s house was amazing! Decorated perfect and spotlessly clean. He was also such an amazing host and went above and beyond to make Sure our trip was great! Also super great Location!

Peaceful and private along a small lake. Really enjoyed sitting on the porch watching wildlife. All the ammenities you would want.

Aaron’s home is very nice with a beautiful back yard it made for a great stay!

This place has everything I was looking for. Tyler and his family met us at check in and were very friendly. My parents drove in from Arizona with their trailer and Tyler was nice enough to let them park it on the property for the duration of the stay. Even with the trailer, there was still a ton of land for their two large dogs and our little dog to run around and enjoy themselves. The hot tub and fire pit area were great and they even left a huge bundle of wood for us to use.The house was immaculate and decorated nicely. The house has a lot of history that you can read about in one section of the house. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and plenty of dishes, glasses, coffee mugs and silverware. The dishwasher made clean up easy. The dining room had a large table where we enjoyed all our family meals. There is a washer and dryer that we used while there that was very convenient. In all The whole house/land was very clean, private and spacious. Highly recommended.

My friends and I absolutely loved our time spent at this air bnb! The host was very kind and responsive, and also very accommodating. The space was beautiful, clean, and stocked up with necessities. We made great memories here. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a place to stay with family or friends!
