Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Indian Lake

By some distance our favourite stay on the road trip, will absolutely be coming back if we can!

We stayed at Greg's yurt after numerous days of primitive camping at different locations around the park. This space was undeniably exactly what we needed. They had all the supplies we needed to not have to unpack the car again. The location is ideal for the region and we actually walked to Baxter mountain from the yurt then had a beer at the tavern at the bottom of the trailhead after summiting. The family of squirrels around the property are so personable and hilarious and we had a doe come and graze for dinner as we sat out on the porch for the evening. Being from Western North Carolina, it's been a hard year of survival for most of our communities after hurricane Helene leveled our mountain communities with some small towns completely gone. Our mountains and hearts continue to recover 9 months later while our lands are so vulnerable and many areas inaccessible and unsafe to traverse. Being in the ADKs at Greg's Yurt was refreshing and healing for us and we can't wait to come back!

We have been coming to Lake Placid for 15 years and this was by far the best house we’ve ever stayed in. Jonathan has thought of everything. There was no amenity we thought was missing. The house was immaculate. The property is beautiful and spacious; we had no issue accommodating 7 adults. Next time we come back to Lake Placid we will definitely be reserving this house again.

Host response time was exceptional, Directions and local tips excellent. The house was CLEAN. We stayed in winter surrounded by over three feet of snow so there wasn’t too much opportunity to adventure out on the property, but the views from within the warmth of the house were beautiful. The kitchen was well stocked, everything placed thoughtfully and convenient. Kids loved the game room. We brought a Roku and enjoyed family movies while wood burning stove toasted the rooms. Bedrooms large and comfortable. The drive was plowed and easily managed despite all the snow. Only 17 minutes from Gore Mountain, we felt happily lost in the deep Adirondacks. This was my first ever experience with AirBNB. I couldn't have stayed at a better location for my first experience! Melissa's home was warm welcoming and beautiful. I stayed for four nights with my four children. There was plenty of space for all of us. Although my youngest still chose to sleep with me lol the bed was still big enough for the two of us. The pool was absolutely perfect, my kids loved it! The hot tub was very relaxing and very easy to use. My kids really enjoyed it too. The grill worked wonderfully and the fire pit was great for smores. The covered patio made watching my kids enjoy the pool even more relaxing for me, I'm a ginger so if I can be outside and out of direct sunlight that's a huge bonus for me. The kitchen had everything we needed as well. Melissa was very responsive when I had questions and I cannot thank her enough for the great week. We'll be back next June for another week! Can't wait to return to this fantastic vacation spot!

Went up for a snowmobile trip. Excellent location close to the trails

This home was perfect for our group, we had a great time in the backyard and outdoor areas and everything inside was nice too! Definitely would recommend staying here any time you're in the area!

We came up here for a friend's wedding. the location was perfect only 5 minutes away from where we had to go. your in the woods but not too far from town if you need to make a quick run to Tops Markets. Jolanda was very responsive, but we alsp didn't need anything or had any issues. only wish we were not too busy with the wedding and could enjoy the house and property more.

Lynne's place was the perfect relaxing Adirondack getaway for us. Lynne and John were very friendly and provided an amazing breakfast and local recommendations. The dock and lake were beautiful and we managed to see a lot of wildlife. Would definitely stay again.

Loved staying at Hannah’s! cozy , quiet and clean, and perfectly located. Very kind, welcoming and responsive host and I wished I had more time to spend there. Would love to come back

We visit this area frequently and are always looking for g for a place to stay that isn’t overly priced and uncomfortable. Hope to stay again in the future!

Sandy’s Moose River House was a wow wow wow stay for us !! Romantic 62nd birthday trip. The view from the living room window is like looking out a boat window—the water and wildlife are that close up and personal. Loons, cheery house wren, bombardier hummingbirds, a wood duck and her tiny babies parading by, and flowers bursting everywhere. Yummy outdoor hot tub, comfy covered back deck, lots of dishes and cookware, great linens, and easy coke and go access. Easy area to take peaceful walks. We went to Nick’s Lake Stare Park to hike around the lake—a glorious hike I’ve been doing since I was a child. Eating at Walt’s Diner (local vibe) and Frankie’s (giant Italian portions) was wonderful as always. Sandy was very warm and welcoming, without ever for a minute being intrusive. Perfect balance. On our list of top 3 Airbnb stays ever, in 14 years of being guests all over the world. We will be back !!

This was our first trip to the Adirondacks, but it certainly won’t be our last! The view of the mountains from this location makes it worth a stay alone, but the house itself is incredibly comfortable and only five minutes from a major hiking trailhead. Our week was full of mountain hikes and exploring Lake Placid. Don (and Baxter) are wonderful hosts and we really enjoyed spending time together learning about the history of the mountains. We can’t wait to come back here!

Great place to stay! You are a very short distance from downtown. The space is very comfortable, I’d definitely stay again!

Great place with beautiful surroundings! Very close to the lake and town (which had some very good restaurants). The house was perfect for us and the bed was very, very comfortable! Location was also within an hour of some great places in the Adirondacks. Host was very responsive to any issues/questions we had, and while they are close, they left us to do our own thing. Would definitely stay again if I have the chance!

Debbie's place was a very comfortable mountain retreat! We enjoyed our time there and it was a pleasant place to relax after all our sight seeing during the day. We would stay there again!

What a lovely condo in a beautiful setting and impeccably maintained. Check in was easy. We really appreciated the cozy atmosphere with fireplaces and heated garage after 8 hours on the road in snow! The set up was perfect for us with my daughter, her husband and my two grandsons downstairs in their own space and my granddaughter and me upstairs. The beds were comfy and the kitchen very well appointed. The Adirondack Olympic decor and furniture is perfect. We especially liked the unique, bear featured stair runners. Robin and Bob are gracious hosts providing great details and suggestions for activities. We all wished our vacation could have been longer! Don’t hesitate to book, you will love it.

Carla was a wonderful host. More importantly her rental was beautiful and very comfortable. Would strongly recommend and we look forward to going back (when there’s less snow)!

Condo matches the pictures, but the view is far better than the pictures. Very comfortable space and open floor plan. Kitchen was well stocked, we cooked in a couple nights and had everything we needed to prep meals. Having three full bathrooms was great (we had 4 adults and two kids). Easy walk to the middle of town and all the restaurants/shops, but far enough away that it didn’t feel busy. Coffee on the balcony was an amazing way to start the day. We’ve been going to lake placid for 20+ years and have stayed many places - this is one of the best views we’ve had while still being right in the village. Highly recommended.

The place is clean, quiet and peaceful. Lots of towels, there are basic toiletries like soap, shampoo and conditioner were provided. We enjoyed watching the birds in the morning. I will recommend this place to friends. Hopefully we can go back during the summer to experience the lake.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Kathy's! The place was very clean and comfortable, and there was plenty of room for the 6 of us. The kitchen was well stocked, and all linens were fresh. The location was very convenient to all that Lake Placid has to offer but also removed just enough to have some quiet time away from the bustle of all the shops. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Lake Placid in the future. I highly recommend!
