Such a beautiful stay! The wow factor when you pull up is just the start! We had the most amazing time and made so many wonderful memories staying at this beautiful historic home. From seeing fireflies in n the evening to morning coffee on the beautiful screen porch, we had the most wonderful family adventure. The third floor was setup perfectly for our twin girls in one room and our son in the other! Town of spring green close by was a family favorite and we had some amazing dinners/lunches there. 100% recommend you try this stay. Make sure to have good bug spray and you are set! Thanks so much to Sam and Bruce for sharing this wonderful place with us all!

My sisters and I had a wonderful time here! The river view was absolutely mesmerizing. We kayaked, fished, and did a lot of cooking. The beds were very comfortable — we all slept great during our stay. Check-in was easy, and there was firewood available for us to use. We enjoyed the games and the peaceful atmosphere. It was a 10/10 experience, and we’d love to come back again!

This is a beautiful and refreshingly private location. You will not be disappointed no matter what time of year that you choose to book this home. What a delightful slice of heaven in the Wisconsin countryside. The lovingly restored farm house is so beautiful and comfortable, and our combined party of 8 had plenty of room to spread out. The location is quiet and peaceful, with beautiful hilltop views in all directions. We especially enjoyed taking in the sunsets from the outdoor fire pit. The rolling green hills and towns of the surrounding countryside are bucolic and such fun to explore. Jodi and her husband even gave us a tour of their farm, with nesting bald eagles and eaglet - such a generous and unexpected gesture. We had such a great time and would love to return someday.

We stayed in this BEAUTIFUL home while spending a few days visiting The House on the Rock and Cave of the Mounds. It was excellent location to do both on different days. We ended up going to the Geology Museum in Madison our last day, as the rain poured on our plans to find hiking trails nearby. Dennis was quick to respond with any questions we had, whether it was about the Lodge, or local food recommendations. He even let us know about some things before we came across the questions! We would love to stay here again if we come back to the area!

My family and I really enjoyed the place, the spectacular view, we would love to return in the summer, the weather was not very cooperative, there was a lot of ice.

Wow what a beautiful space and home , tranquil and comfortable . Kitchen had ALL the amenities one would need . Comfortable beds - outdoor space is gorgeous . This home would be great for families . If you want to escape all the hustle and bustle this is the place to truly relax !!!

Warm and welcoming hosts - so nice to have a kind note, lights on, and chocolates and wine waiting for us (although we did not partake in the wine - but loved the intent behind it). Definitely hunting cabin vibes -- we are so jealous and wish we had this type of accommodation for when we go hunting. Another nice thing: we weren't asked to strip sheets, run the dishwasher, wash towels and take out the garbage like so many other Airbnbs (what's the point of the cleaning fee if the guest has to do half the work?). All that was asked was to put used towels in a pile on the floor - so appreciate that when we have to depart for an early morning flight. Thanks John and Kitty - if we are ever in the area in the future, we will be sure to book again.

Christ was a great host with an incredible piece of paradise to share for those who crave natural surroundings. Beautiful on the outside, beautiful on the inside. Tastefully decorated and truly meant for a couple desiring relaxation. Pay attention to Chris' driving instructions for the driveway. We loved it all.

So beautiful. We loved everything about our stay here and they were super helpful! Have is recommendations on where to go for food and sightseeing. Definitely would stay there again!
