This is a renovated 150-year-old house. Located in the mountains at an altitude of about 400 meters in the middle of Mt. Iwara in Itoshima City, Fukuoka Prefecture, you can enjoy beautiful views in every season. The fresh air and water, the location, and the spacious space are very popular! Wake up in the morning to the sound of wild birds, the babbling of the river, and sweet, delicious water. Check-in is available from 1 pm so you can enjoy your stay. Company meetings, workshops, yoga classes, tea parties, mountain climbing (Ibarayama, Raizanyama), camping, etc. with friends and family. We have a variety of ideas for our customers. Fully equipped with dishes, cooking utensils, rice cooker, etc. There is a BBQ stove (please bring your own ingredients) There are two types of baths: a glass bath and a Goemon bath that is heated with firewood. The facility is a cottage in Nijo Fukui, on the west side of Itoshima City. Exit the facility to the left and you will reach Oirase Beach within a 1-minute walk. Also, if you go outside and walk about 5 minutes to the right, there is a coastal promenade with a beautiful sunset, and it is a very close location to the sea. There is a functional kitchen with cookware 🍲 and utensils such as pots, frying pans, chopsticks, and ladles. The living room has a TV 📺 and sofa, so you can comfortably stay as if you were at home. There is also a pool table 🎱, so please enjoy it with your friends 👫 and family 👪. There is also a nostalgic Pac-Man game machine. When you open the window in the living room, the mountains spread out right in front of you, and you will be healed by the feeling of being surrounded by nature. The maximum stay is 180 days a year, so please book early. This resets every April. Updated pricing for quality maintenance: from ¥5,500/night in 2026, with possible slight increases due to Japan’s inflation.

The Itokuro Estate is a historic Edo-era home built over 200 years ago. Newly renovated, it blends modern comfort with traditional Japanese architecture. Yumi and Yasumichi, the on-site caretakers, live in a separate area and do not share any living spaces or bathrooms with guests. They are available to assist guests and provide transportation to/from the local train station. Bicycles are available for the guests to explore the beautiful beaches and countryside of Itoshima.
