Holiday rentals with a kayak in James Island

The townhome was exactly what we needed for our weeklong trip! Getting inside was easy with the keypad. It’s a cute place and had the right amount of space for our family of 5 to live like at home. All bedrooms are upstairs with comfortable, firm mattresses. The 3 bathrooms, and kitchen were clean. Great bonus—we enjoyed the full size washer/dryer being upstairs. We used the tv downstairs, and it was easy to add our streaming account (harder to remove if you’ve never done it) I was worried, but we never heard any neighbors. We had them at least 2 nights we were there. When the cloud cover was just right, it could be noisy with the flight path to the airport nearby. We enjoyed watching the planes, and the sound didn’t bother us at night at all. There’s a lot to do in 5-20 minutes in any direction. If you have children, the Park Circle playground and Danny Jones sports complex are wonderful. We went to the Coliseum for an event—it was the perfect location!

We had a great time. Kids loved fishing and kayaking the river. Great place to get away. Monica was a great hostess and quickly to respond left some yummy bread and quiche that was so needed after getting in late for checking and already have breakfast made. And the fresh eggs. This place was 10 outta 10 kids already want to return

Wonderful place to stay! It was our first experience using Airbnb and we weren't disappointed. The location was peaceful, quiet, and private. The house was clean and well-stocked, and our stay was comfortable and relaxing. We hope to stay there again!

This might be the best vacation rental we have ever had. My grandson liked this vacation more than Disney World. It was the perfect place to relax and just enjoy being with family. Mark was great and available if we had any questions. We will definitely be coming back.

Beautiful location. Close to Folly beach and charleston but so quiet and serene. We used this as our home base for a 40th birthday trip and had a lovely time. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms spacious and luxurious, outside spaces beautiful. Google maps didn’t have good directions to the house but the host sent them to us ahead of time. It’s next to two houses but it’s still quiet with a great view of the marsh. It was the perfect retreat for the area.

Eugene was extremely responsive and very accommodating. Kitchen was well stocked with any & everything I needed to prepare a meal. Great stay and would definitely recommend to other guests.

Catrina's townhouse was perfect for our family of 6 adults, one toddler and a baby. We especially liked the location as you could walk to the beach and restaurants and yet get to Charleston fairly quickly for sightseeing and doing things in the city. Catrina supplied beach toys/chairs/towels and a wagon for loading up to take to the beach which we really appreciated. There were also bikes we could use and two kayaks(although we didn't use the kayaks). She instructed us what to expect upon arrival and what supplies were provided before we arrived so we could pack or pick them up before arriving which was nice as it seemed a little different than some things on the west coast. We had a great time and would highly recommend this for a family get away!

We loved our stay. It was the best location for some peace and quiet and close enough to all of our points of interest. We were able to visit Mount Pleasant/ Shem Creek, Folley Beach and Downtown Charleston. The home and outdoor spaces were perfect and we loved all the details. The extra touches (quality shower products,games, and even slippers) make this visit one we can’t wait to revisit.

I can’t say enough good things. You won’t want to leave. This kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The outside space is amazing. My only regret was not staying for longer. The 3 chickens are so friendly, they followed us everywhere like a little pep squad. We especially enjoyed coffee out at the marsh. My Apple map GPS is a little off on the address. If it’s on the left, just go a little further up the road. If it’s night, you will see the beautiful tree lights to know you are “home.”

Beautiful peaceful place in nature. The house and bedroom had huge windows looking onto the marsh with so many bird singing. Kayaking was great, exploring the marsh. Some sand gnats when there wasn’t a breeze so we had to wear bug spray at times. My husband, dogs and I loved it.

Greetings. What a wonderful visit. The location is outstanding. The cottage and surroundings are amazing. The weekend met all of our expectations plus, a really fun adventure. Thanks to our hosts, Pam and Ollie.

Had a great time over the weekend that me and my girlfriend stayed. The river was beautiful and the property was very peaceful. Janie and Lucy (her dog) are really nice and even gave us some suggestions of things to see around the area. Definitely could see myself planning another trip here and recommending it to friends
