Waterfront holiday rentals in Jardim do Mar

One month stay in this attic style apartment on top floor of a 4-storey building. It is well-equipped, very well supplied and well furnished. The two excellent terraces have good furniture, lovely views and are private. The apartment is a 2-minute walk to the pedestrian promenade that leads to the Lido area and Formosa Beach and 8 minutes to the main road, bus stops and a good supermarket. Beatrice (the host) responded quickly before and during the stay and Paulo (her local agent) was welcoming - and there were also some nice welcome gifts. The internet worked well in the main living space and one of the terraces. The apartment building was generally quiet; you can hear construction noise from the nearby Dubai Madeira development - but not disturbing. The AC was not effective. Beatrice responded positively to my concerns, provided a portable fan (which helped) and has advised that new AC units will be fitted. Overall, a very good apartment and I have booked to return.

We loved our stay in Antonio’s apartment. It was extremely clean and spacious and had everything we needed and then some. It even had a parking garage for our car. I appreciated that Antonio provided plenty of coffee, soap, shampoo and even laundry detergent. That was really nice and convenient. I loved sitting on the deck overlooking the gorgeous ocean view drinking my coffee or sipping a glass of wine. It was so relaxing! I highly recommend booking Antonio’s place. He is a superb, kind host and will go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and happy.

The #1 thing that stood out for me was how incredibly responsive and professional these hosts are. Some of the best I've ever had. Excellent communication, as flexible as they could be, and just really lovely people. The location of this apartment was absolutely incredible, the best that one could have hoped for, and spotlessly clean. It was quite cozy but really had everything I needed. It is on the top floor and the elevator wasn't working, which I wish I had known because I would have packed differently, but in the end it was 10 minutes of inconvenience for a fantastic stay. a highly recommend for me

This is a beautiful place! The pictures did not do it justice. It was open and spacious, we felt relaxed the minute we stepped in! We traveled with our 3 adult children and we had plenty of space. There were a lot of extra touches-fresh flowers, a cooler to use, swim towels, complimentary cake and wine, and blankets for use out on the patio. The parking was convenient as we rented a car for travel on the island. We took the path to town and wish we would have done this earlier to enjoy the beach. The view was mesmerizing and we even saw some dolphins! dolphins! We woredolphinsdolphins

Cristina was a wonderful host, always available with helpful tips and recommendations. The apartment was very clean and tidy, furnished, arranged and equipped in the best of taste. Stunning view, very quiet, even if very near to the expressway, and because of that perfect located to get everywhere easy and quick. Restaurants of all kind available within short driving time. Overall - very advisable!

Paul do Mar is a dreamy fishing village. The sea is right in front of the village and you can hear the waves inside and it is then pretty much the only sound you hear from outside the apartment. The apartment is on three levels, upstairs laundry and sheltered terrace. On the middle floor, there is a bedroom and a bathroom. Downstairs, there is an entrance hall, a living room and a kitchen. The apartment is really neat and there is everything you need even for a longer stay, the kitchen is exceptionally well equipped. I worked and the Wifi worked great. I also went swimming and snorkeling every day. A few very nice and varied hiking trails leave the village - be prepared for a steep climb (and descent) There are a few average restaurants in the village and larger shopping trips should be made at the nearest Continent (20 min by car. A bread truck with a fantastic selection of pastries passes by the nearby restaurant every day :) This apartment is one of the best I've ever stayed in 5/5

The accommodation was simply great and exceeded our expectations! The house is really huge, you have a lot of space and privacy, even if you travel as a group. The pool was heated at our request and the temperature was very pleasant. It's simply a dream to be able to watch the sunset while lying in the pool. The amenities were also great, everything we needed was there. In addition, a garage, the second car we could park in front of the gate. The location was quiet, only on weekends there is a lot going on in the restaurants at the end of the street, also many motorcycle drivers who are not exactly quiet. But it was still fine. Overall, the accommodation is highly recommended and the landlord is very friendly.

This atypical accommodation on several floors is very beautiful and perfectly well furnished. We took advantage of the 3 outdoor spaces. Warm welcome with a nice touch on our arrival (flowers, wine, beer, water, chocolate). We were also well advised for our outings and restaurants. Note: Not easy for me to park properly in the parking space but it is possible to park in a car park down the street. We are delighted with our stay at Adriana's

The place was perfect and lived up to our expectations. Quiet neighborhood and good location. Luis was very welcoming and gave good local recommendations. We highly recommend it!

Overall we had a great stay (8 nights) at Sofia's apartment. We loved the ocean view and the remote aspect, although the street that leads to it gets very busy (even more than we thought) during the day due to the nearby Anjos waterfall which, on occasion, can make parking a bit difficult (the apartment doesn't come with a parking sport so, as others mentioned, you need to park on the street). The check-in went smooth as the directions Sofia provided us were clear and easy to follow. Inside, the apartment is spacious, the 2 bathrooms were a big plus for us, and it had all the amenities we needed. The bed is very comfortable, though we switched the pillows and used the small pillows from downstairs as the main ones were a bit too big/stiff for us, after this change we slept great every night. The surroundings are silent, the only thing you hear are the ocean and the water running to the next-door banana plantation. We had a great time, Sofia was very kind, and we recommend this house!

The best part about the apartment is the stunning view you have outside. Carlos was really helpful and even helped us with our luggage when we checked in. As mentioned, the house is a little older and you will find some bugs downstairs (the bedrooms are upstairs). Carlos provided us with some spray which we could put by the doors and which would keep the bugs outside. I would really recommend his place especially if you like to spend most of your day outside since you’ll have a lot of space to do so.

Maria’s 8th-floor apartment was perfect! Super clean, spacious, and the balcony had amazing views of the marina, Santa Catarina park, and the city. It has two bedrooms — one with a double bed, the other with two singles — both with private bathrooms and closets. There are three bathrooms total, all spotless. The kitchen had everything, plus a dishwasher and coffee machine. Laura, who welcomed us, was so kind and helpful. She messaged me before arrival, arranged parking, explained everything in the apartment, and even brought us a big bottle of water and fresh coffee capsules the next day. She also gave great local tips. The building has great security and private parking. Honestly, the whole stay was smooth and comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Madeira — close to everything!

Great view, great accommodation!

Iri’s place was absolutely breathtaking taking!! The view from the balcony was outstanding! You can see the beach. Her place has a washer drier which was super convenient. iri was super friendly and helpful! She is great !!!HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Can’t recommend enough. Clean, fantastic space, great location. Marina really helpful and always responsive. Well equipped kitchen with everything for meals in but equally a 10 minute drive into Funchal. The view from the apartment is beautiful and the location means everything is easily accessible. Supermarket across the road. We didn’t hire a car because the location was so great.

We had a great time at Miguel and Ana’s place. They have a beautiful condo close to the sea and with a lovely balcony and view. Very spacious and a nice location. Overall, loved it!

We stayed for one night during our round trip on Madeira, but we would have wanted to stay longer. The place is really spacious, laundry machine and a great terrace with sea view. Madalena do Mar with its banana fields and colorful houses is a charming beach town. Don’t expect sand here, but definitely worth a stop!

Afonso's place is perfectly located, within walking distance to everything in Funchal. The Airbnb has a balcony, with an amazing view of the ocean. It has a lot of amenities for your stay in Maderia. There is underground parking which is a huge plus as you can rent a car to go further away in the island. The USP of the stay is Afonso, who is really well connected and super helpful with all your questions. An amazing gentleman. The flat can be well ventilated by opening doors and windows, the sea air is perfect to cool you down after the walks. There is also a fan available, but as mentioned in the listing, there is no A/C. We had no issues as we could just open windows and balcony doors, while using the fans.
