Holiday rentals with a kayak in Jefferson County

We had an enjoyable and relaxing stay Suranny's place. The house is very close to Front Royal and the north entrance to Shenandoah National Park. It's perfect for anyone looking to be close to Skyline Drive, hiking trails, or the shops/restaurants in Front Royal. The house was very clean, well-appointed, and has comfy furniture. The screened in porch (with hot tub!) was great and allowed us to enjoy some outside time even though it rained one day. The house has a very large yard that our pup enjoyed exploring and we relaxed one evening by the fire pit. We'd definitely stay here again!

Beautiful home and so many unique touches that made this place really special. The view out of the windows was incredible! The home was appointed with everything you need and I loved celebrating my birthday here. The beds were so comfy and the showers were super modern. The only tricky thing as noted by the hosts is that the directions on your navigation will take you too far down the road so definitely keep an eye out for the barrels posted along the road with the signs for the house. I would love to come back and stay here again!!

Deanna was very responsive and friendly. The house was perfect for our needs. We had ten people in our party. Each family was able to have their own space and restroom.

Our group felt the place was very clean and spacious, and we were very comfortable spending the night there. We actually got 6 bikes inside the mud room (but it was a tight fit). Bring whatever sundries you think you may need during your stay, as the house is set up more like a hotel room than a lived-in house--e.g. there wasn't any WD-40 to be found, nor were there any books or games. We'd book it again in any case because it was overall a great value.

Excellent location! Bala and Justin have done the place up beautifully! The house is lovely, large bathrooms, huge sun-room and the deck on the lake is just the cherry on the cake. Extremely responsive hosts - both Bala and Justin were very helpful with any questions we had, and had provided all details even before we got to the property.

We had a wonderful family reunion here with 3 generations. Each family had their own private space but there was tons to do on the property together as well. The hosts were very responsive to our questions and made sure we were comfortable and happy! We appreciated that the kitchen was well stocked, too.

This place was incredible. Had worried about the weather holding up but it held up the entire weekend which lead to an amazing time. So much space for the dogs to run and for us to relax. Living room is super cozy and being walking distance to the river was very nice. Bring bug spray if you’re an outdoors person but other then that, 10 out of 10 place to visit. Also recommend Lowrys Crab Shack and Cordial Coffee Co as places to visit while in the area.

This place is a gem of a find - close to wineries, SNP and major stores, and downtown Front Royal, the inside of the house were the pictures, but better. The private dock, kayaks and firepit were too good to be true. We had an incredible time and anyone who visits will too. Thank you for having us Karen and Marco and hope you’ll have us back again!

The Overlook was absolutely perfect. Rolling River Holiday Farm was expansive and having the opportunity to checkout the wildlife, river, and breathtaking views was unmatched. We were blessed to have a true experience not just a getaway. The layout of the home was spot-on with breathtaking views of the river and mountains. The downstairs was cozy and furniture was very comfortable. Private location even without leaves on the trees which is exactly what we were looking for. Wonderful host who had the home shinning and I really appreciated the super clean linens and thoughtfulness of having the lights on when we arrived. Can’t wait to come back!

My husband and I and our 1 year old met my parents here for Mothers Day weekend, and it was just as past reviews said… WONDERFUL!! The house is clean, charming with river views, inserted into nature and fully stocked (including travel cribs, high chairs and baby books). We had the best time enjoying grilling, the fire pit, the hot tub each night and watching the sunset from the top deck or dock down at the water. Path to water = steep but my parents in their late 60s (and carrying a 1 year old) did just fine taking their time. Though they did max out at 2x round trips :) Definely rent the pontoon!! We did for 1 day and felt that was plenty. We didn’t leave the house for 4 days and loved every minute. From yoga on the porch, to fishing with some cheap fishing gear purchased at Walmart 20min away. We took walks, my husband explore the riverbank for arrowheads. Tons of books to read at property!! We saw wild turkey, red fox, lots of deer. 100% coming back!! Frank and Grace are GREAT!!

Karma is real, so I must share this true GEM with the world. This was a bday getaway for my wife and I with our pup. I WIN BEST Husband of the Year because of Frank's Pond Cottage. I gave her the gift of her very own waterfall.. Beautiful luxury in hidden away by the Shenandoah. We were able to UberEats while also having an Uber take us to Element. Great food. Frank and team recommended horseback riding, did that too, MUST DO SO! We will be back and already have plans for next trip. Run DON'T WALK to spend time at this wonderful retreat.

The place is unique and has an amazing view of the river. Our family had a great weekend getaway and didn't need to go anywhere the whole time to stay busy. The surrounding area is quiet and peaceful. Kitchen was stocked to have anything you need to cook.

Home as described with plenty of place for our extended family and dogs to spread out. Too early to swim in the pond, but it looked tempting. Deer & Turkey right in the yard with a winery a brewery walkable up the road.

I surprised my wife for our 1 year anniversary to a trip to this beautiful cabin. we greatly enjoyed our weekend. The cabin was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Our family had a lovely time staying in both cabins! It’s been so difficult to find accessible places for my dad to visit in his wheelchair, and this place was perfect - ramps, accessible bathroom, etc. was exactly as pictured. The kids/teens loved the creek and yard (and hot tub), the adults found the kitchens and homes well-supplied, and we even took my dad over the gravel path to eat at the picnic table near the fire pit. We’re all excited to come back!

Beautiful place me and my boyfriend came here for his birthday we had the best time! Brandi had the space nice and clean when we got there. She is has excellent response time and is very friendly. The cabin itself was amazing the view was incredible! being able to go out and kayak was amazing. The perfect get away for you and your partner! we will definitely be back!

We loved our stay in this beautiful space! Amazing location, super cute space, comfy beds, great host! I highly recommend staying here! The cottage was very well stocked with everything we needed and our family loved the hot tub! Was great to wake up surrounded by nature. 5 stars!

Awesome spot, stayed here for a Bachelor's trip with 9 guys—super private and remote, plenty of games and activities in the cottage. We walked down to the creek just past the backyard, very scenic and peaceful. 10/10 would recommend and stay again.
