Cabin holiday rentals in Joshua Tree

Staying here was a unique and memorable experience! The place was exactly as described—peaceful, cozy, and surrounded by nature. You really feel completely secluded, which adds to the charm but can also feel a little spooky at times. But I’ll admit I’m a bit of a scaredy-cat when it comes to the dark, so that probably didn’t help! 😄 The howling of coyotes at night was mentioned in the description and that it just sounds close but is in fact probably miles away, but as Europeans we definitely underestimated how intense that can feel in person. Considering the relatively high cleaning fee, we found it a bit surprising that guests are still expected to take out the trash, do the dishes and put them away before checking out. All in all, we truly enjoyed the stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a special, off-the-grid experience.

Beautiful place to stay. Stunning views and amazing home. The road up was surprisingly steep and bumpy. I think a low car would have had trouble getting up. The door was a bit tricky to close. But everything was explained and described perfectly in Laurel and Steak’s instructions. I’ll 100% want to return back

Josh and Dons place was exactly as the pictures appeared. It was the cleanest and one of the nicest places I have ever stayed at through Airbnb! You will not be disappointed. I appreciated their house manual as well and the food recommendation for the Joshua hookah lounge did not disappoint! We enjoyed the proximity to Joshua tree national park and the quiet atmosphere around the property. Truly a place to relax and disconnect from all the other distractions of life.

Mathilde & Rudy's place was SPECTACULAR. The house was located on a very private road and was incredibly peaceful. It was such an amazing experience relaxing in the hot tub with the milky way right above us! The hammock was also perfectly placed. The house was super cute, nicely decorated, and very clean. I would definitely use the Waze app when navigating the neighborhood, though, because the directions were more straight forward than google maps. If you are thinking about booking here just do it!

We had a great stay at this Airbnb. It was clean and had everything we needed. Communication with Jenn was easy. We would happily stay there again!

This place is absolutely majestic. Stayed for one night but, wow, what a wonderful experience. The silence is worth every penny. Stargazing. It convinced to secure a place here in the desert. This is my kind of weird. Ryan was a fantastic communicator: proactive, friendly, and accommodating. If you're looking for an escape from the weirdness of the city into the normal of the desert, this is your place!!

Stunning place surrounded by beautiful desert landscapes and incredible stargazing. We loved the hot tub and the hammock. The place was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was an easy, short drive to the National Park entrance, local shops and gas stations. Elena was quick to respond when there was a power cut to the local area and did everything she could to help us. As we understand this was a very rare occurrence and didn't negatively impact our stay at all. Thank you Elena, we would highly recommend this place for a stay!

Nice place. Much larger than expected. Very clean, very spacious. Loved that he had a large cold pitcher of water. It’s a small detail, but very thoughtful and a haven in the desert. We visited Joshua Tree over a couple of days. Perfect distance to it. Not too close as to still be near a Vons or food areas, but not too far that we would make it there rather quickly. Plus, spending time outside in the backyard set up to stargaze was the highlight of the trip for me. For my wife was the view of the sunrise over the Joshua trees around. Overall a great stay.

What a special and beautiful spot this was! It surpassed our expectations, in particular the artistry of the interior and exterior design. This was far beyond a basic rental property, you can tell folks put love, care and character into each stylistic choice! All amenities were fantastic, hosts responsive, peaceful and quiet surrounding areas — absolutely no complaints.

The place was nice and clean. Maya has everything for you to cook, shower and sleep. Just bring your groceries 😉 The sunset, you can't really see it because of the houses, but the sunset was beautiful 🌄 I definitely recommend her place.

Everything about this place was great! Any amenities listed were accurate as well as the pictures of the home. Whether your idea of vacation is staying inside or exploring out, this a great option. The amenities this home has to offer makes you feel more at home! I would definitely recommend this listing for anyone looking to stay out in Joshua Tree!

Casa Flamingo was great! The pictures don’t do the space justice; I walked around for the first 10 minutes exclaiming “THIS IS SO CUTE!” The outdoor spaces are great and offer a variety of options to view the surroundings and stars. The interior has so many amazing windows you barely feel like you’re inside. The space feels more spacious than the pictures suggest; my 6’5” partner didn’t feel cramped at all. The house is easy to locate, and is a close and easy drive from much of what Joshua Tree has to offer. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to others!

Cabin was exactly as described. Very comfortable, spotless, sublime desert location. Loved the outdoor shower!

Great Airbnb outside the main part of town so it's super peaceful. Very well equipped and so cute!

Royya’s place reminds me why I started staying in Airbnbs forever ago. It’s the person style, the details and personal touches you can’t find in hotels that give you a glimpse into a world you might not have ever known. Royya space was cleaner than any hotel. Outside there was a plant in bloom that filled the air with a floral fragrance that was a subtle, sweet reminder I was no longer in the city. In either direction the house is about 30 minutes to both Palm Springs and Joshua Tree. Which was perfect. It’s a location that is both isolated and yet still surrounded by places to go and people to see. The space itself is open and airy with everything a person could need. The drive in was fine for me. I have an off roading vehicle but I wonder how a car lower to the ground would handle the bumpy dirt roads. All in all an incredible place to stay and an experience I’ll never forget. I would definitely recommend.

Peaceful, quiet getaway on the outskirts of Joshua Tree - but a short drive to the National Park. No neighbors, just the creosote and roadrunners. The cabin is very comfortable with everything you need. WiFi worked great. Kitchen was well stocked. Looking forward to another desert getaway.

Very nice place to stay leaving all the worries behind. Gazing at the stars, enjoying in the jacuzzi. Peaceful and clam and cabin is clean and tidy. Overall enjoyed my trip.

We loved this beautiful desert getaway! The home is absolutely beautiful with its interior design, art, vintage pieces. We loved making dinners while listening to records, and enjoyed the cowboy tub outside on a hot desert day. It’s very easy to get into Joshua Tree from the home, easy 20 minute drive. Jason provided very clear instructions and we had a seamless check in/out experience. We would definitely stay here again.

This property is a dream. The location is perfect to be able to walk into town. Everything is so thoughtful from the most comfortable beds to a perfectly stocked kitchen. The cowboy pool is a big bonus in summer! We love coming here!!

We had such a wonderful stay at Sheila’s cabin! Shiela and Annjeanette were so kind and communicative, it was a breeze getting there especially thanks to their thoughtful instructions. The place itself was even sweeter than the pictures could capture and we spent a wonderful weekend surrounded by beautiful views. So conveniently close to pioneertown that made seeing our friend’s band play at Pappy and Harriett’s a breeze! The bed was insanely comfortable, the bathroom perfect and clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook even an elaborate meal for our anniversary dinner. Not to mention a gorgeous night spent star gazing on the roof deck. Thank you both for a lovely stay!

We had a wonderful three-day stay at Andrew's home. The house looked just like the photos and it was an easy check-in and check-out. It was a quiet and peaceful stay, which is just what we were looking for. The neighbors were a little closer than expected, but weren't a distraction. The entire area lost power for an evening, and the owners were apologetic and responsive, even though it wasn't a fault of their own. Our only wish is that the living room couch/chairs were a little more cozy for movie watching, but not a drawback. Would happily stay here again when we return to the area!

Gina was extremely flexible and friendly throughout the whole experience! It’s a perfect spot if you want privacy and a good retreat from the busy world. I’m a tough rater and confidently say this place was a 10.

My girlfriend and I stayed at Tamara’s place and absolutely loved it. Everything was super clean, and the space was thoughtfully designed. Be sure to make time to enjoy the amenities—we especially loved the cowboy pool, the spa, and the beautiful outdoor area. You can tell that Tamara put a lot of care into the decoration and layout. Outside, we appreciated the shade provided by the plants and trees, which made the space feel peaceful and private. The pond was a beautiful touch, and we enjoyed watching birds stop by for a drink.The kitchen was fully stocked, making it easy to cook meals. There’s AC in both the master bedroom and the living room, which kept the house cool and comfortable. Our favorite spot was the sunroom, along with all the charming vintage details throughout the home. Tamara was a fantastic host—very accommodating and even let us check in early. We definitely recommend staying here if you're visiting Joshua Tree!

Lovely place to stay!! Clean and peaceful, beautiful kitchen with everything you need to cook. Hammock outside of the main bedroom is perfect for stargazing. Short drive into town for cute shops and groceries.
