It is perfect for long stay! If you are a digital nomad, this is the place. It felt like home, the apartment has everything for a long stay, it is comfy, organized, clean and has enough tools for cooking. The neighborhood is lovely, very calm to relax and have a local experience in Japan. The only thing is that everything is far, 16 min walking to the subway station and 10 minutes to the supermarket/family mart. 1 hour by subway to downtown in Osaka or Kyoto/Nara. But for long stay this is not a problem once you have time to enjoy the city and the local neighborhood. Also in sakura season, the park in front of the apartment looks beautiful! There is a laundry room at the building so it is very easy to wash your clothes. Masako was very responsive and helpful all the time. I would definetly come back!

What an incredible stay! The place was spotless, stylish, and super comfy — but what really made it special were the hosts. They were so friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Their tips and suggestions made a huge difference to our trip, helping us find some hidden gems we never would have discovered on our own. The extra experiences they offered were absolutely fantastic and added so much value to our stay. This is hands-down one of the best Airbnb stays we've had — highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

My friends and I stayed at James’ for one night and we wished we had stayed more days! The location was very easy to find and accessible by car. James provided us with clear instructions too to get inside the house. The house was a perfect stay if you value comfy. We really felt at home. We had everything we needed at the house. He even provided coffee machine for us to use. James is a great host! He’a very proactive and his instructions were very clear. He’s also very thoughtful of us. Provided us with everything we needed including umbrella for us to take home during rainy days. All and all, we definitely recommend to stay here. It’s perfect!

We had a wonderful stay at Hatsumi’s place. She welcomed us with warmth and even helped us book an amazing dinner at a local restaurant and book a taxi for an excursion. The location is great, only 20/25 mins away from Kyoto main city and 1 min walk from the train station. The perfect place for peace and zen after wandering round Kyoto. The surrounding area is very picturesque and beautiful. The hinoki wood bath is such a treat after a long day. Such a wonderful experience staying in a traditional Japanese house. There is a convenience store and supermarket nearby for your needs. We can’t recommend this place enough, already looking forward to coming back!
