The place very convenient for tourists. Everything is there . Accessible to tourist spots ( walking ,train stations, buses). Will surely get back to this place .

Staying at the Gion house was an absolute treat. It was the best airbnbs we have stayed in. Curtis and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They gave excellent recommendations and were very responsive to any questions we had. The atmosphere was beautiful and we appreciated the attention to detail of the historic home. We would highly recommend staying here and we would definitely return!

A lovely Japanese feel with a tatami bedroom and hall area. Quite spacious for the area (with 2 toilets!) and easy to travel around from nearby subway or bus stops. Useful balcony for drying clothes. plenty of local supermarkets. We really enjoyed staying here and would stay again.

This was such a wonderful stay! I completely recommend it to others. The space oozes charm and was thoughtfully designed. Yoko & Mayumi are delightful, communicative hosts.

The neighbourhood is really nice and quiet with many restaurants and konbini nearby. Even though it is quite far away from the nearest train station, there are many bus-stops nearby for getting around Kyoto. The host was really nice and helped explained to us all the rules and information about the stay, including nearby restaurants and amenities.

Plenty space for duo or a family of 3. The place sit within the city center and you can find a lot of parking spaces, the travel options are limitless.

The place was great, close to a bus stop. There are quite a few eating options and supermarkets nearby. The appartment itself was cozy and clean. The host was friendly and responsive. Highly recommanded.

We (me and my boyfriend) really liked the place. It was very clean and had everything in it what we need. It has a balcony too which was nice. It is also located in a quiet residential area and is close to all the stations. We recommend this place to everyone who plans to go to Kyoto.

Walkable from kyoto station. Well worth the price for two person. Room is not spacious but adequate for two luggages spread open. Bed is big enough for two people. Room comes with a table and two chairs. Good toilet with shampoo, conditioner and soap, and has excellent water pressure. Toilet only issue is the space from the seat to the door. Towels and face towels were provided. Has a basic kitchen and fridge provided, fridge was so cold that my coke has iced form in it. Aircon is not good, 23 degrees but does not feel cold at all.

The place was exact as described. It was quite spacious and we felt right at home. Considering we had a small baby, we didn’t have any issue during the stay. The check-in and checkout process was straightforward. The neighbourhood was quiet and had good commute options. Highly recommend this place.

Love to stay here. The room and facilities is so clean, great, and comfortable. I will back here if I stay at kyoto again. Very recommended

Great location and perfectly sized for 2!

A very efficient studio apartment of small dimensions common in Japan, while rare for most folks visiting from the West. Staying in a well maintained space of this kind makes a visitor's experience more "authentic." By being on a small street one can observe the rhythms of daily life than in most tourist areas.

Thank you for an amazing stay! The location is perfect; it is close to a bunch of little shops and restaurants. It is a short walk to the national garden and local markets! Check-in was easy and the apartment was quiet and comfortable.

Tatsuya was a great host and even gave us a ride to and from the station.

The room was a clean.There is also a washing machine, and the bathroom is clean.It seemed like a place where you could live comfortably.I stayed with my 6-year-old son, and the room was larger than a hotel room, with enough space for the child to play with toys. It is about 8 minutes on foot to Kyoto Station.If you have heavy luggage, there is a bus stop in front of the guest house, which is very convenient. There was no elevator in the guest house, so it was quite a hassle to carry luggage to the 3rd floor. Even if I didn't understand something, I was grateful for the quick reply when I contacted them.Overall, I think it★'s a 5.

Beautiful place just opposite a slew of temples. You can wake up to the sounds of bells ringing. Peaceful neighborhood. Good connectivity by buses but a little far from the station. Place itself is spacious and nice. Bathroom has a tub. There’s a lift in the building. Perfect

We enjoyed our stay in Kyoto. It was in a great location and we were able to get to everything fairly easily. The space was small, and there is not space for oversized luggage. We carefully laid them on the bathroom floor near the windows and that still gave us enough space to move about. The rest of the flooring is tatami mats so you need to be very carefulnot to roll luggage on it. You also have to walk up a narrow stepped staircase for 3 floors to make it to the room so please keep that in mind. It had beautiful traditional japanese touches that made it stand out. The open air bath was a lovely feature and I especially enjoyed that. It also has a door for privacy. My husband and I did notice that it is not possible to fill the bathtub while the shower was on, so I would suggest filling the bathtub before you shower. Keep these things in mind when you are deciding if it's right for you. Overall, it was lovely and the japanese beds helped our bodies recover from each day of walking.

K/H did an amazing job as a host and making me feel welcome during my stay in Kyoto. Their clear directions made the stay seamless. Noise around the bnb was not as bad as expected ( rail line by the apartment), and it didn’t impact my sleep at all! Thanks again!

Very clean, space was perfect for two! Would recommend if only looking for a place to sleep, 2 minutes away from the station so very convenient to go and explore Kyoto!

This was the best accommodation during our Japan travel. The place was so spacious compared to the other places we stayed at in Japan, and even the bathroom which I found very small in general around Japan was very big here. Especially loved the outdoor bath!! A baby cot and bath tub were provided and our baby slept beautifully during the stay. Our futons were comfortable too.

We stayed at four airBnb‘s in Japan and all have their good points, but this was by far the best. Located in a quiet suburb so not walking distance to the main sites of Kyoto, but with some lovely sites that we would not have seen otherwise Close by. It was as simple Uber ride or train ride to get into Kyoto for main sightseeing and it was lovely to come home to a quiet un bustling local with a wide choice of excellent restaurants to choose among. The apartment itself is spacious, by far the most spacious we stayed in And it’s part of a an apartment complex which has a small gym. Nori and Fumi even served us breakfast all three days we were there in another upstairs breakfast room. To top it off, they picked this up and dropped us off at this train station three days later. All in all it was a really welcoming and comfortable place to stay, well worth the price we paid

The location is excellent, it is very easy to get to the points of interest in Kyoto easily.

The location is great and the place was clean and comfortable. The only minor point is the fact that the entrance door and the toilet door of the bedroom on the 4th floor is a bit low, hence tall people like me might hit their head more than once...
