Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Kankakee County

This home was a great place, lots of space for us to spend time and the view of the river was gorgeous. My kids felt right at home and while the neighbor houses are really close it was still quite private. Not walking distance to the town but we were able to take a long walk down the road without much traffic and it was beautiful. Lots of board games my kids enjoyed playing and was so nice that snacks were provided. We very much enjoyed our stay.

We absolutely loved our stay! This spacious and beautifully maintained home is full of charm and character, offering both cozy comfort and plenty of room to relax. One of the best bnbs ive stayed in so far, this was definitely a great stay, highly recommend staying at the Giusto House.

The house easily accommodated our five couples. The spacious kitchen and casual dining table made it easy to hang out with friends for pizza, cards, whatever. The forward sitting room was perfect for sipping morning coffee. It was a great place for our group

We had an incredible stay at Cathy’s home for a family birthday weekend. The house was spotless—truly one of the cleanest rentals we’ve ever seen—and stocked with every amenity you could think of. Cathy added so many thoughtful touches, and the space had games and activities for all ages - really, the thoughtful little touches made the stay feel so personal and welcoming! The home itself was in amazing shape; everything felt brand new. The outdoor space was peaceful and relaxing with a fire pit, plenty of seating, and beautiful river views. You can tell a lot of care goes into maintaining this home—it was the perfect balance of comfort and style. Cathy was also a fantastic host: kind, responsive, and genuinely thoughtful. We felt so welcomed and comfortable the entire time. Whether you’re looking for a quiet getaway or a place for family to gather, this home is a 10/10. We truly enjoyed our stay! We felt right at home as soon as we arrived. The place was exactly as described and had everything we could need. The beds were so comfy. Perfect location , close to everything including walkable to a park. Lynn was responsive and accommodating. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

Renata's house was a great place for a family weekend away. The kids loved playing in the river, and we all loved hanging out around the fire pit and using the kayaks. The game room was a great bonus. We had plenty to do and enough room for the whole extended family (8 adults and 4 kids).

We had a wonderful stay in Bourbonnais! The home was cozy and located in a quiet, welcoming community. The location was perfect—close to everything we needed. Everything was clean, comfortable, and just as described. 10/10 would absolutely recommend, and we’d gladly stay here again!

We loved having the garage for easy unpacking and parking. Having it be an entry and exit point for the property made you feel extra safe and secure. Tracey and Mike are very responsive if you have any questions. We enjoyed our stay.

Hollie’s second floor “apartment“ in a two unit house was pretty much exactly as described. It’s obvious they put a lot of love and attention to detail into rehabbing this old home. However, when we arrived, the sink in the bathroom was completely clogged, as was the garbage disposal and bathtub drain. We contacted Hollie to let her know that we purchased two bottles of Draino. It took that much to unclog everything. Regardless, I would absolutely recommend staying here. You could see the Kankakee river from the dining room window and the small yard had remnants of a once immaculate beautiful garden with blooming perennials and annuals. It is in a great spot near downtown Kankakee, a short walk to the river park. With plenty of activities to do both indoors and outdoors. Hollie was a friendly and responsive host. Only thing we would’ve hoped for is some kind of reimbursement for our time spent unclogging drains and cleaning up. But these were small issues & the unit was still worth it!
