Haruya Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

Stay in a Novel. A retreat next to World Heritage

Our house is called Kamikura-Hideaway. It is a small 50-year-old house located at the foot of Kamikura Shrine. Contemporary artist Fulbrn revived it as the art piece "Narrative Space." Since this house once served as a geologist's hideaway, bits of history are scattered throughout the building. Our uniqueness has even been featured in the travel media AFAR, reflecting our commitment to a memorable guest experience. We hope you will enjoy touching someone's story "floating" around the room.

当コテージは清流、円原川のほとりにあります。 岐阜といえば白川郷や飛騨高山が有名ですが、円原も山奥で不便な場所ではありますが素敵です。 山と川の景観が美しく、猿や鹿が出没するような自然豊かな場所です。 円原川は日本一美しい伏流水、光芒の名所として注目されており、宿は伏流水の湧き水ポイントから８００ｍ程の場所に位置していますので水の透明度は抜群です。 光芒も宿から見ることが出来ます。 夏の朝、気象条件により木々の間から太陽の光が降り注ぐ幻想的な景色を見られます。 円原川の水は冷たいですが、夏に子供たちは元気に川遊びしています。 河原は気温が随分下がるので、猛暑を逃れ涼む人も。 少し下流にいくと川遊びスポットがいくつかあり、どこも水が透き通っていて美しく泳ぐのが気持ち良いです。 川の水は少し深いところではエメラルドグリーンに輝き、岩と苔の景観も素晴らしく、心が浄化されるような癒しスポットです。 宿の2階に川に面したデッキがあるので、川を眺めながらBBQしたり、川のせせらぎを聴きながらハンモックに揺られたり、テントサウナでリフレッシュしたり日常を忘れてのんびりできます。

Kyoto Station and Gion are both within a 10-minute drive, yet here you can enjoy a quiet space where time flows in luxury.

OHANA is a private seaside cottage on Naoshima, known as a sacred place of contemporary art. There are two cottages, sea side and mountain side; Lani is the mountain-side cottage. Free parking is available on site. The cottage accommodates 6–8 guests and includes a kitchen and washing machine. It is a 3-minute walk to the Yellow Pumpkin and 2 minutes to the bus stop. Each room has independent kitchen, bathroom with electric key, so you wouldn't be bothered by other guest. Naoshima is slow, quiet place with only 2 taxi and 1 convenience store is available in the island, but you would definitely enjoy the beautiful, peaceful place with great art and nature!
