We had an absolutely fantastic time at the villa. The kids had the best time swimming, playing football and tennis, bouncing on the trampoline etc. it was great having so much for them to do at the house so we didn’t have to worry about taking them out when they needed to burn off some energy. This meant the adults could really relax and enjoy their time too. The house is well located, 10-15 minute drive to most places you want to be, supermarket less than 10mins away. Markos was really helpful, met us at the villa when we arrived and gave us loads of recommendations for local restaurants and activities. The place was perfect, we would love to come back!

We had a wonderful stay at Evangelo’s place. Check in was smooth and we were met with some groceries which was helpful. Always replied quickly and with helpful information. The views were incredible and very peaceful. Due to its remote location, you need a car but it was perfect for a quiet getaway. Some special memories here :) thanks!

fantastic house in a great little village. The view from property is amazing, especially from the upstairs bedrooms. The house had basically everything we needed and a few taverns within walking distance offering great food as well. we had an amazing week exploring the area and enjoying the sunshine.

The outdoor area is simply perfect, great seating, mega pool also for kids and with the spa whirlpool simply a paradise! Not to forget this beautiful view of the sunset 🤩 Not only is the accommodation perfect, but the hosts, Maria and Savas, are great hosts! Friendly and courteous, and always available! They brought toys for my son and despite the fierce challenge with the Sahara dust, they did everything to ensure that we can enjoy our vacation 100% 😊 We are already looking forward to our next visit to Crete and to Maria. This house was absolutely amazing – just like in the pictures, if not even better! The location right by the beach is truly breathtaking, and we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting. All the furniture and appliances are top-of-the-line – everything was spotless, high-quality, and incredibly comfortable. Ria was a fantastic host – super friendly, always quick to respond, and very helpful. We really appreciated how kind and welcoming she was. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and would recommend this house to absolutely everyone. A perfect getaway!

Stayed for a few nights at this beautiful property. Yiannis and his wife were excellent hosts. Lovely historic village with easy 15 min drive to the beach. Very peaceful and tranquil location. Property has been beautifully renovated. Would certainly recommend a stay if you are in this area.

We LOVED our stay at Butterfly, and felt sad when we left! We came to Crete for a week for a birthday celebration, and wanted to be a little out of the tourist areas. Our check in was seamless, and Theo from Muses travel was always contactable to help us out with anything. The WiFi wasn’t working properly when we got there, and everyone went out of their way to get it fixed for us. The village of Armeni was beautiful and had an excellent mini market (shoutout to Niko), and a couple of great restaurants. Rethymno is a beautiful city which is just 10 minutes away. There were four of us so it was reasonably priced to hire a driver for our day trips, so we saw Knossos and Heraklion, and then also took a day trip to Spili, Agia Galini and Matala. If we ever get back to Crete would LOVE to return to Butterfly.🦋

A short walk from downtown Kalyves, but far removed from the hustle and bustle of the town of Kalyves. Several good places to eat, with some services such as medical and a pharmacy, a couple small markets with enough provisions. The location had absolutely amazing views of the bay of Souda, very private and quiet. The property is secured by an electric gate, to keep wandering tourists away, in that this accommodation appears historical in nature, maybe all that’s left of an old kastelli, based on the rock walls. I could be wrong, but I would guess that the actual accommodation is what used to be the powder magazine for the old fort. We enjoyed the place immensely.

This was the best AirBnb I've ever stayed at, and it really made our trip to Crete. Maria was an A+ host. She was extremely responsive and helpful and pointed us to all of the best beaches and restaurants. The house is in immaculate condition, very clean, and very spacious, and is only 10 minutes from downtown Chania. Thank you for everything, Maria!

This place is fantastic. Two outdoor seating areas both with breathtaking views facing west so you can watch the sunset. We were there in December during Christmas and they had a nice wood burning stove to help warm the house in addition to an electric heater. There is nothing like the ambiance of a wood burning stove . They provided all of the firewood. They also had a fully stocked kitchen . It was an easy walk to town with all the restaurants. Almost all of which were closed when we went. The beaches are a walkable distance. One of the highlights was the Aradena gorge, a 30 minute drive. The trailhead is in a beautiful ancient town. The hike is technically challenging due to loose rocks. Honestly, one of my favorite things was the area. Off season, it is incredibly quiet and peaceful. I loved seeing all the goats and sheep on the hillsides. One thing to note is the bedroom is on the third floor and the bathroom is on the first floor. This was not an issue for us.

I already miss this house. It’s like a fairytale cottage. So many cute little spaces indoors and out. Character and charm! It’s old with stone steps and some low doorways, so don’t be clumsy. Our hosts were hospitable and kind. We felt right at home. There are many flowers, herbs and trees. Unforgettable.

An unforgettable stay! All the necessary ameneties were provided, the bed was very comfortable and the view was breathtaking. We had a private garden with direct beach access and sunbeds — plus two nearby beaches accessible by walk, all beautiful. Artemis is a truly kind and welcoming host. And just a short walk away is Mimis Taverna — hands down the best restaurant we’ve ever been to. We’re already dreaming of coming back! Thank you so much!

We felt very comfortable right from the start and were completely satisfied with the accommodation. In addition to the wonderful terrace with a fantastic view, the accommodation has a very good location. You can reach restaurants, supermarkets and the beach within a few minutes. We are always happy to come back. :)

Adorable little house where we felt good from the moment we arrived. Very nice garden with deckchairs, tables, barbecue and the best of the best, an outdoor shower, a marvel. We hear the cicadas, the birds, and the bells of the sheep. Ideal location, close to Visses and not far from the sea. We can't wait to go back. Address to recommend as well as the welcome of Vassilis who treated us to his little interventions and always responded to all our requests. Bravo and thank you again.

Absolutely perfect! Brilliant property and brilliant host. Despina was so lovely, gave us great recommendations and she even left us some food in the fridge for breakfast because of our late flight. We had an incredible stay at the Elachron villa! From the moment we arrived, Theodora welcomed us warmly in person, making us feel right at home. She went above and beyond, cooking us a delicious breakfast one morning and Stelios assisting us with our BBQ. The hosts were always ready to help with anything we needed. The villa itself was stunning — spacious, with an amazing view. The pool was a highlight, large and perfect for relaxing, and it even came equipped with goggles and gear for watersports. Inside, the villa had an amazing games room with a pool table, PlayStation, Smart TV, and much more to keep everyone entertained. Overall, a truly unforgettable experience, thanks to Theodora’s hospitality.

We had an awesome time at Nikos’s place, he gave very useful tips and his apartment is at walking distance from everything in Matala(as the village is very small). As mentioned in other posts, there are quite a few steps to the place but you get used to it, and it’s a great workout after a big dinner in one of the restaurants below. One of the days it was too windy to be on the beach so we stayed on the terrace of the accommodation with a great view of the sea, the sound of the waves and privacy from others. Perfect for a romantic getaway. Thank you Nikos!

The place is very spacious, quaintly decorated and offers 3 cozy bedrooms. There is a large quiet courtyard with seating and you can eat well outside. It is also possible to wash and hang laundry. We loved a basket of oranges, Easter bread, cookies, water and more! 😊 The apartment is located in a small mountain village and is a good starting point for activities (such as hikes) in the area. The coastal towns of Chania and Rhetymno can be reached in about 40 minutes. Also beautiful beaches are not far away (by car!). We felt completely comfortable. The only small criticism: Wi-Fi and internet in general were rather difficult.
