Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Keauhou Bay

Lovely location, thoughtful amenities and a wonderful Lanai, (porch) where we were able to sit and have breakfast or best, view the sunsets every night.

First thing I must say is that the beds were very comfortable! The location was great, not too far from Kona activity but far enough away you can feel like you’re in the quiet country. (Minus the charming frogs at night but it was cool enough to shut the windows). Excellent view of the ocean. Having laundry was so helpful. We had 5 people there. A little tight… perfect for 4 but it was fine for 5 using pull out couch. Would definitely stay again!

We highly recommend staying at Santai Cottage. The setting was very beautiful, peaceful and private. We enjoyed having the beach gear, hot tub and option to cook our own meals. Lots of windows and covered porches for a true indoor/outdoor living experience. We had everything we needed for an excellent stay. Thank you Karen, you were a great host!

Fantastic stay - best place to stay on the Big Island! What an amazing location, with a fantastic view! Private and relaxing, looking out onto coffee trees and the ocean. The place is everything that's promised and more. Great kitchen for cooking dinner if you don't feel like going out, an amazing outdoor shower, a GIANT TV for the times you want to just relax, and outdoor space that's private and tranquil. Everyone I communicated with was immediately responsive, and had suggestions for places to go (especially coffee farms), and responded very quickly. I can't recommend this place enough - we may be coming back again and staying here if it's available again! PS - the frogs: some people may love them, some may not like the noise. I didn't mind them at all at night, and had a white noise app in case they were very vocal (especially after the rain). Never did see one. Oh! And considering it's in the upcountry, no bugs/minimal wildlife, nothing to stress you out!

Wow. What a spectacular place. A true eco-jungle-lodge-type experience. The location, the home, the host's communication and aloha spirit - everything was fantastic. Highly recommend 4WD / AWD car for the driveway, although we made it work with a sedan (kind of comical, actually). We are an adventurous family of four adults (2 grown kids) that likes experiences and lodging that would be the opposite of a cruise ship or resort. This place was perfect for us. We will be back!

We had a wonderful 7 day stay. Our 3 boys (16, 13, and 10) spent hours on the diving board and in the pool. Sandra’s place had everything we needed for beach trips, including beach chairs, wagon, umbrella, cooler and beach towels. I was so happy to have a washing machine to wash out the sandy towels and suits after our beach trips. It was a 5-10 minute trip for Costco,-target and Walmart and a 30-40 minute trip to Hāpuna Beach (don’t miss the Malsada stand on the highway on your way). We would come back to the house to cook supper, swim more in the pool, and watch the sunset from the beautiful yard. We also got a lot of use out of the basketball net in the driveway, and volleyball net in the side yard. Sandra was extremely helpful with all aspects of our stay, including local recommendations. Would definitely stay again if on the Big Island!

Our family ranging from 77 to 7 all agreed that the house exceeded our expectations. We appreciated the quiet setting with lots of places to walk {I think grandpa, walked them all}, the fully equipped kitchen, and the pool (of course). My grand daughter named the resident geckos and gave them all a fond goodbye. We had to drag our 16-year old off Magic Sands beach. We all enjoyed several snorkeling spots and splurged on a Fair Winds "Kona’s Best Morning Snorkel: Captain Cook & Kealakekua Bay." Many thanks.

We really enjoyed our stay at Chris’ place. The morning views were nice, the sunset was beautiful . We like how there are 2 bathrooms, extra towels, washer and dryer provided. The place was clean and cozy! We appreciate the small gesture of a welcoming box of chocolates and coffee pods. Very attentive host. Thank you for a great stay.

The location is great, with an amazing ocean view. The host is friendly, making everything easy. No complicated house rules and check-out to-do list 🙌 Also, I loved that they provided beach chairs and an umbrella—definitely made my beach days a lot better. If you're looking for a laid-back spot to relax, highly recommend it!

The place was great! Super clean and Jon was able to respond quickly if needed. Cafe Florian down the street was super charming and affordable with GREAT views of the ocean, and Gypsea Gelato was a few minutes drive away and had amazing gelato-great treat on a hot day! Parks and snorkeling were short drives away. The grocery store down the street had great premade sushi to take to the beach! I felt very comfortable at Jon's place! Close to Kona Community Hospital as well.

Thomas’s house was great! It was clean, comfortable, and beautiful! The kitchen had everything we needed, and we loved having access to the washer and dryer. It fit our family of 5 comfortably, and we appreciated the air conditioning, snorkel gear, and boogie board. There was great snorkeling nearby, and we loved walking across the street to drink our coffee by the ocean every morning! I would definitely stay here again!

Really liked this place. easy walk on alii drive to restaurants and local spots. 2-3 local beaches nearby. pool and the black rocks behind it with the ocean view was beautiful at sunset. Exactly what was expected! Safe area. Loved the extra touches like the macadamia nut pancake mix :)

Wow and wow! Joyce and Zac have gone above and beyond to create a space that is comfortable and private. While the accommodations are indeed attached to their home, the retreat presents like a private apartment. The kitchen is well-stocked, making it easy to cook in for meals, if desired. Nothing has been forgotten concerning the little touches that make traveling easier, so we would consider this rental much better than a hotel. There is no air-conditioning, but numerous fans are provided and we were comfortable during our June stay. The online pictures very accurately depict what you'll see when you arrive. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. We whole-heartedly recommend this rental and plan to return on our next trip to Kona.

We had the most incredible stay at this Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine aloha spirit. The space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had every amenity we could ask for. The view was nothing short of breathtaking, and sipping coffee on the lanai while listening to the birds was pure paradise. The host was exceptional—friendly and responsive! Whether you're here for adventure or relaxation, this place delivers it all. I’m already dreaming about our next visit!

We loved our stay! Waking up to have coffee and breakfast on the porch was a real highlight. The space had everything we could possibly need, was spotlessly clean, and we felt right at home. There were some great cafes in the area, as well as awesome snorkeling. We also loved hanging with Papaya the kitty! Would recommend this spot in a heartbeat.

Overall this was a really great stay - the hosts were very responsive, the Airbnb was spotless, and it was well stocked with everything you could need.

We loved staying here! The location was close to many things in the Kona area. The dedicated parking spot made it easy to come and go. The mini-split AC was quiet and kept the place cool. The in-unit laundry was great too.

Kirk was a great host, super responsive and flexible. His place was clean and tidy, and had everything we needed. The location is super walkable to the downtown strip.

Beautiful stay. Beautiful majestic views and conveniently located close to the airport and Kona activities. The place was clean and had everything one could need. The kitchen was useful for cooking our own meals and the bed was comfortable to sleep in. I also loved seeing the little animals in the neighbors yard next door. The place had extra towels, blankets and other supplies you may need that made this place a great stay. I highly recommend.

Our stay here was perfect. Location was amazing right by the beach at a peaceful community, great for viewing sunrise/sunset. The place was just as pictured, very clean and had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Amy's place was just the perfect condo for us. It had a great unobstructed view the ocean. and the sounds of the ocean along with the evening breeze wafting through the unit at night was heavenly. Having breakfast on the lanai was a treat each morning of our stay. Very private end unit on the second floor assured privacy with no one being able to look in or walk by. Quiet and away from the bustle of the tourist district. (except for one noisy Coqui frog in the bushes nearby). I chased it away enough to get it to stop for the evenings. A nearby market and Ali'i Gardens Marketplace with cool friendly people (plus great fish tacos!) is just a short walk away. Amy was attentive and provided good tips for our visit which was a great help. Will definitely visit again!

We read reviews about bugs and a bad smell, however we had no issues with either. Place felt very clean and smelled great, has all the amenities and appliances that we needed. Even had a boogie board in the closet that we could use which was fun! Overall great place, right by tons of restaurants and stores as well as the shoreline.

We had a great time. Sherry’s place was perfect, clean and felt like home. The surroundings are beautiful!
