Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Kefalas

We had wonderful days with Kiriaki and Michalis. We have never been received and said goodbye to in such a nice and extremely friendly way, extraordinary and heartwarming. Michalis fried us self-caught octopus: super delicious😋, thank you. Kyriaki and Michalis were very helpful and had plenty of tips in store for beautiful beaches or other beautiful things to do in the area. House and yard were very clean and 1A prepared. In the courtyard in front of the house, you can relax on two sun loungers. The intermediate cleaning with towel changes was also great. Thank you for that and the little attentions in between. In the village itself, you can get to know the Cretan cuisine in 3 restaurants in the evening. Food is also available on site. You can always find a parking space in the village square. And to the beach in Almeryda, you can roll 4 km down the mountain, sun and bathing pleasure are guaranteed. We are flying home very well recovered!!

This was the best AirBnb I've ever stayed at, and it really made our trip to Crete. Maria was an A+ host. She was extremely responsive and helpful and pointed us to all of the best beaches and restaurants. The house is in immaculate condition, very clean, and very spacious, and is only 10 minutes from downtown Chania. Thank you for everything, Maria!

We had a wonderful stay at Evangelo’s place. Check in was smooth and we were met with some groceries which was helpful. Always replied quickly and with helpful information. The views were incredible and very peaceful. Due to its remote location, you need a car but it was perfect for a quiet getaway. Some special memories here :) thanks!

A short walk from downtown Kalyves, but far removed from the hustle and bustle of the town of Kalyves. Several good places to eat, with some services such as medical and a pharmacy, a couple small markets with enough provisions. The location had absolutely amazing views of the bay of Souda, very private and quiet. The property is secured by an electric gate, to keep wandering tourists away, in that this accommodation appears historical in nature, maybe all that’s left of an old kastelli, based on the rock walls. I could be wrong, but I would guess that the actual accommodation is what used to be the powder magazine for the old fort. We enjoyed the place immensely.

If you are searching for paradise, you will find it here! Words can‘t describe the magic of this place. It‘s all about the details of design and living (from the signature house scent and the open-air shower to the tasteful interior design and the infinity pool overlooking the rough cliffs of crete), total peace far away from hustle and bustle and waking up to the breathtaking, unmatched view of the sea right from your bed. Einat was a great host, she welcomed us personally and was always there for any questions. Good to know: In the region are not many mini- or supermarkets and everything is at least a 15 min drive away. But you can enjoy a delicious breakfast at the apartment if you want so and Einats recommendations for great tavernas, beaches and beautiful villages in the area are worth every ride! You should listen to her tips, because some of them were the gems of our crete trip for sure. It was definetly not our last visit. Thanks for the great experience!

Four of us, two couples, spent a very enjoyable week at Roula's stone cottage. A special and stunning location and suspect a rare opportunity to spend time in a traditional style house in a rural cretan mountain village. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable. May be better suited to a family stay as the downstairs room has no separate access to bathroom. We enjoyed the peaceful location immensely- great to getup and have breakfast outside with the fresh air and distant sound of goat bells. We travelled to Chania or the beaches along the coast every day and certainly didn't find the village too remote to do so. Nearby Tavernas and gorge walk are a must. Roula, along with her mother, were always quick, helpful and generous when questions were asked and supplied us with eggs and oranges and some home cooked food. Surely one of the best hosts I've experienced on airbnb. Would gladly return.

Amazing place, exactly as pictured. It's about a 6/7 minute drive from downtown Gavalohori. To reach it, you have to walk a rather dirt road: but the view, once you get to the top, pays off. The location is really quiet, the only noise you hear is that of the sheep grazing (however very pleasant!) The pool is of the Infinity pool, overlooking the sea, which you can see in the distance. Wonderful. Overall highly recommended, just follow the directions to reach it (use the indicated georeferencing!).

Wow what a place! Stunning location and beautiful villa. Manto was the perfect host going above and beyond expectations, from the steady supply of wine to a home cooked lamb dinner in the wood stove one night; honestly one of the best meals I’ve ever had. A lovely experience all round and can’t wait to return.

Dimos is a very responsive and welcoming host. We greatly appreciated the quality of the exchanges with Dimos. He is always available and a very good advisor. The apartment, spacious and clean, is very well located with a beautiful sea view. The terrace is very nice for meals and rest. Thank you Dimos for the little touches, the water, the fruit and especially the raki.

Wow! Artemis is such a thoughtful host. The property is peaceful and beautiful. It’s a wonderful way to enjoy Crete and the Mediterranean. Our apartment was cleaned every weekday; that was a bonus!

From Sunrise to Sunset the North facing second floor apartment and balcony offered incredible panoramic views of the Mediterranean, Rethymnon Marina and Fortezza … absolutely no issues or problems with check in, in/out access with secure gated and covered garage parking … comfortable bed, quite building, hot water shower/sinks, flawless high speed internet, excellent cable TV, soft linens, sheets and pillows 5⭐️!

Fantastic stay, right on the beach! Photos very similar to reality, with all the amenities available! It is on the seaside promenade, very close to several restaurants, a supermarket and the historic center, you can do everything on foot within a short distance. Fotis was super helpful and gave very clear instructions. We wanted to stay longer!!! 5*

The photos do not do this beautiful place justice. The flowers and greens are so bright, and you have a view of mountains and the sea. Tina is incredibly kind and accommodating, and very easy to communicate with. She sent me home with some wonderful herbs from her garden - they smell amazing! She also treated me to some homemade Cretan cake she baked at the start of my trip. As a solo traveller, this was incredibly special and I am so grateful to her. Driving around the area is fantastic with so many beaches and hikes in the surrounding area. The space is very clean and comfortable! I hope to one day return.

Very nice home and location very nice, walkable to harbor and old town which was very nice! Lots of restaurants! The house was very clean and comfortable and really pretty view of the sea from living room area. The layout was very nice as bathroom on floor of living are and second floor with bedrooms with full bath very nice, lots of room!! My only complaint was, in my opinion, the portrait over master bed was very provocative and also, in my opinion, offensive being a female. Don’t understand why there must be naked pictures of female. This really offended me and can’t understand why??? Laura Rehm

Highly recommend!! We came to Kalyves for some rest and relaxation and our stay at Avra apartments exceeded this expectation. The apartment was very clean, stocked with all the essentials plus some, and the terrace was the perfect place to start every day - we even arrived to some welcome gifts. Stelios was incredibly accommodating and responsive, quickly providing us with additional amenities, such as beach towels. Chania and its surrounding areas were amazing, but this accommodation really made it feel like home away from home. The whole trip was perfect thanks to Stelios’ help! Avra apartments exceeded our expectations in every way! Hope to come back soon!

A big thank you to Konstantinos and Stelina for providing a beautiful apartment for their guests. We were delighted with the layout of the rooms, very modern with floor-to-ceiling windows, a kitchen where nothing was missing (even a salad spinner and a measuring cup were there!) and with a comfortable bed. Towels are changed every 3rd day and linens are changed every 5th day, real luxury! It smells very pleasant, thanks to the well-selected fragrance sticks. For me, a good-smelling apartment is always very important and we appreciated it as well. The balcony is airy and after 10:00 in the shade, it is pleasant to endure and the beautiful view of Souda Bay is simply magnificent. Downtown is about 10 minutes by car, so you are quickly in the center, but also quickly outside in the evening. Ideal for people who want to enjoy city life but prefer to have it a little quieter. Thank you again for everything!!

This is absolutely our favorite Airbnb that we've ever stayed in (and we've stayed in a lot). The place is adorable. Katerina is very responsive and lives right by the apartment. The view is wonderful, and both the living room and twin bedroom have doors that open onto that view. It has everything you need and more, with Katerina providing treats and even cereal and milk for that first morning. The air conditioning worked well, but there is also a lovely breeze from the sea. There are tons of restaurants and cafes just below the apartment as well as with 5 and 10 minutes walk in Old Town. It would be comfortable for a couple and a third person (such as a child) or two people, each with their own room. The washing machine was great to have, and you can dry clothes on the lines off the balcony. We did not want to leave.

This is really good (because it is difficult to find a parking space on the road nearby) This building is new and has a nice elevator The room is also very clean and cozy, fully equipped, there is also complimentary mineral water in the refrigerator, there is a full-length mirror in the bathroom, a makeup mirror in the bedroom, the hot water is very warm, the lights in the bedroom are also very bright, I like it here ~ I can hear a little bit of the traffic outside in the bedroom, but it's acceptable. It's just that I'm a light sleeper, so I noticed this. Overall, I highly recommend this place.

Our stay in Chania was wonderful. The apartment is very spacious and the outdoor areas are beautiful. Ioanna was very accessible and friendly.

This Airbnb is just like the photos and worth the distance from Old Town (about 0.4 miles). The terrace wraps around the entire flat and has many seating options in sunshine and in shade. It’s surrounded by beautiful, well-cared for plants with a stunning view of the Sea of Crete and of Chania itself. You can take the stairs or there is an elevator. The hostess left some local treats for us as well as a lovely bouquet of flowers! Absolutely top notch! There is also air conditioning if the fresh air is too warm. The hostess was friendly and responsive. This was the best of 4 Airbnb’s we stayed in throughout Europe. The only thing to note is that the electricity is only on when the card is in the holder by the door. So, if you leave with the dryer or dishwasher running or charging devices, they will pause until you return.

Fabulous attentive host. Light bright spacious apartment with a lift. Generous welcome pack , great walk in shower, large extremely comfortable beds and nice fresh linen. Large Windows and sliding doors onto two terraces , one with the hot tub! Sunset and sea views from both terraces. Close to bars and restaurants with Indigos our favourite just across the road on the beach front. We hired a car from the host and went on an adventure. Definitely the way to see Crete! The mountainous centre is fantastic and you get to discover other great places. Recommend Evita beach Bali which is just 30 mins along the coast. Truly a piece of heaven. Very sad to leave!!! Thank you so much for everything!

Close to the beach. Parking available. Apartment has everything you might need. Helpful landlord. Everything within walking distance, car is only needed for day trips. Nice toys for the kids. The only downside is that it is next to a busy road with the necessary noise.
