The morning in Saunatonttu begins with the mist rising from the surface of the lake. You may hear the roar of a nearby rapids. You can spend the day fishing from a boat, exploring the surrounding area by canoe, or enjoying the sun on the dock. In summer, the magic of Lapland reveals itself in the midnight sun. The sun lingers on the horizon throughout the night, and the surface of the lake glows golden. When autumn arrives, the dark evenings bring with them the opportunity to admire the northern lights right from the shore. The gentle steam of the lakeside sauna and a refreshing swim are the perfect way to end the day. 🌲🔥🌅✨

The cottage is located in the forest for 30 minutes from the airport/Santa Claus village, on the magnificent Kemijoki River. Here, you'll get to experience the nature, starry sky, and forest of the real Lapland. The cottage has drinking water and electricity, as well as electric heaters. Wood-burning sauna. The kitchen and dining area of the cottage are well-equipped. Upon separate agreement, I offer the following activities: private 3-hour excursion for €90 per person, breakfast for €15 per person, and Loimu salmon over a campfire for €60 per person. I stay in the yard, and I'm available if needed.

Juhannusniemi

30 km southeast of Kemijärvi. A high-quality complex of several buildings in a magnificent location on the tip of its own peninsula (1 ha) surrounded by a lake landscape. Built in 1916, renovated in 1988. A shallow sandy beach suitable for children. Good fishing opportunities in Lake Kemijärvi. Four-stroke outboard motor (4 hp) for rent, Suomun ski trail network 2 km, ski slopes and other services 6 km. The nearest airports are Kuusamo, about 110 km away, and Rovaniemi, about 115 km away. Beach sauna in use from June 1 to September 30.

A warm-hearted cottage on the shores of Lake Kitkajärvi with all the comforts. The tap water is clean spring water. Wood-heated sauna. Private beach (80 m from the cottage) with an electric outboard motor equipped with a rowing boat. Hot tub, sheets and towels as agreed (extra charge). Snowshoes and children's sleds are allowed. Nearby: e.g. Ruka ski resort 19 km from the cottage (about 20 min drive), Riisitunturi National Park 18 km (about 15 min drive), also Valtavaara, Konttainen, Karhunkierros nearby.

A cute little cabin for two people in a magical forest, on a private plot by a beautiful lake near by host home. A sauna is heated for guests every evening. Cabin is ideal for guests who are looking for peace and quiet and distance from the hustle and bustle of the city and the light pollution, but are within driving distance of many of the places to visit. Cabin is located about 45min drive from Rovaniemi. The cabin gives guests a peek into local lifestyle and offers authentic cabin experience

Villa Vihtori by Lake Perunkajärvi

Villa Vihtori is a modern 90 m² log house. The ground floor features a living room, kitchen, two bedrooms with combinable beds, an always-ready sauna, and two toilets. Upstairs, there is a loft with a 120 cm wide bed. The house also includes a glass-covered terrace. A separate studio building offers a room/80-140 cm bed, one toilet and a small kitchen. The villa offers snowshoes guests to use free of charge during their stay. Also, there's spinning lean-to that can be turned towards the sun.

Charming cottage with all the amenities on a large plot. The distance to the center of Rovaniemi is only about 25 km. The distance to Santa Claus Village or the airport is also about 25 km. No public transport. The roads are well maintained even in winter. The cottage is easy to get to. If you wish, transportation can be arranged by Mercedes Benz Vito car for an additional fee. Clean compost toilet. Solar electricity, you can charge your phone and computer. Gas stove. The door and windows have been renewed on the side of the cottage and additional thermal insulation has been installed on the inside. You can also stay in winter.
