Welcome to Piilopirtti, an atmospheric log cabin on the Arctic Circle, on the shores of Lake Kemijärvi, just 7 km from Suomutunturi. The cottage is located on a large plot of land and has spacious views of the lake and the surrounding landscape. From the village you can take the ferry to a beautiful sandy beach. The starting point of the ski trails is 2 km away, but you can go straight from the yard to the lake ice to ski. For fishermen, Lake Kemijärvi offers abundant catches. Cloudberries, blueberries and lingonberries are waiting for pickers right at the corner of the cabin.

Experience the peace and quiet of Lapland's nature and the midnight sun in a unique glass-walled experience cabin on the shore of a wilderness lake. Accommodation for 3, up to 5 beds for those sleeping in their own sleeping bags. The kitchenette has a hot plate, microwave, refrigerator, kettle, toaster and dishes (glasses, mugs, plates, coffee presses, cutlery, etc.). There are showers in the adjacent beach sauna. Composting wood toilet. The sauna is wood-heated. If necessary, we will guide you in heating the sauna. Available in summer and early autumn.

Charming cottage with all the amenities on a large plot. The distance to the center of Rovaniemi is only about 25 km. The distance to Santa Claus Village or the airport is also about 25 km. No public transport. The roads are well maintained even in winter. The cottage is easy to get to. If you wish, transportation can be arranged by Mercedes Benz Vito car for an additional fee. Welcome to stay on our local reindeer farm. The ensuite guesthouse is located in our courtyard by the beautiful (Raudanjoki) riverbank. Forrest starts just outside the premises so leave the noise and lights of the city behind and come to enjoy the peace and quiet. We have renovated the cottage in summer and fall 2019&2022 for your better use. Here you can feel the Finnish cottage culture and enjoy the peace of nature and silence. If the weather is good for the Northern lights and you want to see them this is the place.
