“Judith is a wonderful host and I cannot recommend her place enough. Your space is so private - it's very spacious and also feels like a cozy attic. Judith brought me mandarins from the neighbour's garden and home made walnut cake when I arrived. Then, because the weather was so wet, she appeared with home made tomato soup so I didn't have to go out and get dinner. And she also welcomed my little pooch, who also felt very much at home while we were staying there. Location is an easy drive into town or from here you can head off in all directions to explore the area.”
A stones throw to the iconic Kerikeri Stone Store. Our guest house is self contained with off street parking for one vehicle. 5 min walk to the Kerikeri basin or 20 mins walk to town.
“This place is a great value for money. It is surprisingly spacious and has everything you could need for an affordable getaway. We were pleasantly surprised by the 5 minute walk to the river basin, had dinner at Plough & Feather (amazing) and a jog to rainbow falls in the am (about 8k round trip). Great way to break up our drive to Cape Reinga! Would definitely recommend.”
Relaxation begins the moment you enter your own private driveway, leading to your secluded, cosy country cabin, located on its own section, amidst natural bush. The cabin is decorated in a modern chic style bringing a touch of luxury to your countryside getaway. Two sliding doors open onto a large oversize deck where you can watch the sun set over the quintessential Kerikeri landscape. This fully contained cabin has everything you need to enjoy all the amazing wonders Northland has to offer.
“We stayed in Irene's cabin for a weeks and we loved it. It's got everything you need, the kitchen is extremely well equipped and the whole place is really modern. The bed is nice and comfy and there is a TV as well. The highlight was definitely the deck. It's massive and has really nice furniture on it including the comfiest swing chair. There is also a BBQ outside which was perfect. The location is amazing. Close to Kerikeri and most things in the bay of island as well as the rest of the Northland. But not directly in town, so you can relax and enjoy the nature when you come back home. Irene's dog Molly is super cute and friendly. Thanks for everything.”
