Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Kirkby Lonsdale

Lovely house, great views, within 30 mins drive to all main south lakes sights. Communication and check in all very easy and clear. We had a great stay :)

Great house with loads of cool features, lots of thought has been put into all of the detail. High end kitchen equipment made catering for a large group easy. Good location close to lots of nice walks and attractions. Slept 17 of us comfortably.

This was a beautiful cottage with everything you could need and more😊 Location was good just a 10 min walk into town Mason pub was really nice food and staff were great 😊 Would definitely return was a lovely stay 🥰

Perfect location. 10/10. I did not want to leave. Comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, unbelievable views, superb location, easy access to logs for fire with which my husband was delighted. 100% would return... tomorrow if it was possible! Our dog (border terrier) had a fantastic time too and was very interested in the wee hedgehog who appeared to be living in the bushes outside and the free range chickens!! There was also a free range doggo popping round to the garden in the evening. Vigilance/ Lead/ supervision was a must for our super inquisitive pup.

A lovely cottage, in a great location. Had everything we needed and more. Easy instructions to get to location and for check in and check out. Visited Ingleton waterfalls trail, only half hour drive from cottage and well worth visiting, beautiful! Would definitely stay at the cottage again.

This was a great little find. My partner and I had a lovely few days away at this gorgeous little cottage. There are nice bars and restaurants within walking distance and there are also lovely walks to do from the front door. The stand out feature for us was the little patio area outside with the excellent hot tub - it was sooo relaxing and was such brilliant size! Everything feels like it's been done to a high spec. Such a great place and we'd definitely love to come back in the future.

Amazing kitchen we both loved cooking in our tapas meal in it. It was great to have a selection of herbs and spices already in the kitchen. Everything clean and tidy . We have had a lovely stay at Rachel’s cottage. Perfect central village location and private parking space a bonus. Cottage is very comfortable and well equipped with everything you need. We did the beautiful waterfalls walk Visited White Scarr caves- Very impressive and went on the spectacular Settle to Carlisle railway. I would definitely recommend the cottage and we hope to come back again.

3rd time staying at this lovely Georgian ground floor apartment with Tina being a fantastic accommodating host. Absolutely in the centre of Clitheroe, but yet so quiet & tranquil with reliable, secure parking. The accommodation was great for us as all on one level with 2 big bedrooms, each having separate shower room, one en-suite. It is so well equipped and you feel very at home when staying here. From this accommodation you have such easy access to so many lovely places to visit for eating, drinking, local towns, National Trust halls, breweries, famous sausage shop, great pie shops, trough of bowland, pendle hill & many more lovely places .….we will be returning.

This was one of those places that you would wish to keep a secret. The views are breathtaking, the area is quiet, perfect for a retreat for people willing to charge their batteries from their busy lives. It's a bit off the beaten track, so you need a car or a taxi from the train station to get there, but you can rest from the busy touristic towns of the Lake District. Jeanette was a very discreet and lovely host. She furbished the place with great care. Thank you Jeanette for hosting us, your place was a dream come true!

Enjoyed our stay at Kate's place for a second visit. Has all the amenities we needed and we can feel very relaxed there. Kate was very helpful with our booking. She dealt very promptly with one minor maintenance issue. She's a thoughtful host and there were fresh flowers, milk and biscuits to welcome us. We enjoyed chatting to Kate. Great place! Super spacious and spotless.. comfortably fit three of us. I really enjoyed the quirky style and colorful decor, and there were plenty of books and games to keep us entertained during downtime. Siobhan was very responsive and helpful throughout. The location is fantastic, easy to walk to shops and restaurants, but still nice and quiet. Plus, the views from the window were a lovely bonus!

Exactly as described. Set up with everything needed for a self catering stay. Central location to shops and beach. The flat decor is a little tired but was clean and comfortable.

Just a brief stay on our way home south from Scotland. Been to the lakes but haven’t visited Bowness-On-Windermere before. Town is very commercialised but take the ferry across the lake and it is completely different. Hardly a soul to be seen. Apartment is spacious and very quiet. EV charging on site which was a plus for us. Marta is excellent on communication and response.

Just back from three nights and we had such a wonderful time. The property is in a great location with it being walking distance to bowness but also secluded. Kitchen amenities all great, excellent spec bathroom and very clean all round. We had a couple of questions which were answered very quickly. Highly recommend and we will be booking again.

Such a lovely place, had a nice girly weekend for my hen do with my bridesmaids and maid of honour and the hosts were really sweet. They were happy to co-ordinate with my maid of honour so the whole thing was a really nice surprise and it was overall really private and peaceful with such stunning views. Would highly recommend and think we will definitely be booking again 🤍

With a 15 minute drive into Lancaster and the Forest of Bowland on the doorstep. The Barn was set in an ideal location. It was what my wife and I needed. Some quiet time and fabulous walks in the countryside.

Enjoyed a memorable weekend with the family in this house. Location was ideal, right in the heart of one of our favourite places with pubs, restaurants and good walks nearby. House has so much character and has all the facilities you need for a large group of people. Housekeepers that we met were very friendly and welcoming.

Really brilliant place. Lovely house and great amenities. Really well stocked (unusual to have such good wine glasses!!). Well def use again!

We had a great stay. The house was in a beautiful location, right on the estuary. Plenty of beach for walking. Beds were comfy and ample linen and towels were provided plus a great welcome hamper. The games room provided hours of entertainment and the hot tub was lovely for relaxing in after a busy day. The nearby rock park/quarry was a really interesting day out. We also enjoyed a meal out at the King William IV in Kirksanton. Jenny was a great host and was extremely welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Stunning location, spotless property, and an unforgettable weekend. We stayed at Turner House for my stag weekend and couldn't have asked for a better spot. The house was immaculate on arrival—clean, spacious, and really well looked after. Every guest made good use of the amazing amenities: the games room was a hit, the hot tub and sauna were perfect for unwinding, and the outdoor areas gave us space to chill out or explore. The views over the River Lune were stunning from almost every room, and the peaceful setting made the whole weekend feel like a proper escape. Plenty of parking, great layout, and loads of thoughtful touches. Would 100% return—brilliant for groups who want comfort, a bit of luxury, and somewhere memorable.

We've stayed at other places in the past, but none have given off the positive vibes we experienced here. The care and attention given to the extensive grounds is truly exemplary, right down to the precise way the grass was mown. I never seem to get a good night's sleep except in my own bed, yet here I slept like a lamb for three nights straight! Great beds and luxurious bedding. Finally, the cherry on the cake has to be the privacy and tranquility.
