This small Japanese-style room is ideal for solo travelers or couples.From the window, you can see the fields and mountains. ▼Summer At night, the sounds of frogs, insects, and deer can be heard in the distance, and in the morning, the sounds of birds are lively. On summer nights, the temperature is around 20°C (68°F).There is no air conditioner, as you can use just the electric fan. ▼Winter In winter, the temperature can drop to -15°C, and on rare occasions, you can see diamond dust.There is a wood-burning stove in the common area, and a kerosene fan heater is provided in the room.This is very common equipment found in homes in the Yamamura area. ▼Meals It is a no meal stay. Feel free to cook in the shared kitchen where everyone gathers.It is fully equipped with cookware and tableware. ▼- Transportation It is a 25-minute bus ride from Kiso-Fukushima Station and a 3-minute walk from Oharaue Bus Stop. This is a 150-year-old traditional old house with a large roof in the Nagano region, located in the Kiso-Koma Highlands in the middle of the Nakasendo Road. This is a tatami room. Walls plastered with Yamato plaster and large beams with a black luster.An old-fashioned window with Showa glass. This building was once a youth hostel. We took over the management of the building and are now gradually renovating it through DIY to create a place where guests can stay comfortably. At night you can hear frogs and bugs, deer chirping in the distance, and birds in the mornings in the bustling mountains. There is no air conditioning because the summer night breeze can only be spent with a fan around 20 degrees Celsius. In the winter, there are days when it gets to freezing 15 degrees Celsius, and there are occasional days where diamond dust can be seen. There is a large wood stove in a shared space and an oil fan heater is provided in the room. It is a no meal stay. Feel free to cook in the shared kitchen where everyone gathers.It is fully equipped with cookware and tableware. It takes 25 minutes by bus from Kiso Fukushima Station and 3 minutes on foot from Ohara Kamikami bus stop. It is an old house built 150 years ago in Kisokoma Kogen, in the middle of Nakasendo Road. This is a room with a bunk bed, built with the image of an old-fashioned youth hostel. Please use it with your family or group. This building used to be a youth hostel.Our family has taken over the management of this building in 2024 and is undergoing a DIY renovation as a place where you can easily stay. At night you can hear frogs and bugs, deer chirping in the distance, and birds in the mornings in the bustling mountains. There is no air conditioning because the summer night breeze can only be spent with a fan around 20 degrees Celsius. In the winter, there are days when it gets to freezing 15 degrees Celsius, and there are occasional days where diamond dust can be seen.There is a large wood stove in a shared space and an oil fan heater is provided in the room.It is a typical Japanese heating facility.
