Asama, kites fly in the wide sky, and the Usuda Space Observatory is nearby, so the air is clean. There are several hot springs, including Fuse Onsen and Nozomi Sunpia, that you can get to by car. You can also go to Karuizawa, Mt. Nobe, and Kiyosato in about an hour by car, so you can climb Mt. Yatsugatake and trek to Myogi Arashina Saku Kogen Quasi-National Park. A rice-growing area comparable to Niigata, and thirteen breweries of local sake made with water from Chikuma that flows from Yatsugatake and Mt. Asama There are "Pinkoro Jizo", "Tomono Castle" and "Nakajima Park" on the walking course. Within a 15-minute walk, there is a large supermarket, "TSURUYA", and the roadside station "Healthy Terrace Saku Minami" in front of Saku Minami Interchange, so you can enjoy local ingredients using the cooking utensils and seasonings in the house. Karuizawa Kaede House, located between Lake Shiozawa and Naka-Karuizawa, is very convenient. We renovated the villa into a cottage, so please relax and unwind. Within walking distance are luxury super Tsuruya, Asanoya Bakery, Mikado Coffee, Karuizawa Senju Hiroshi Museum, Karuizawa Taliesin, Muse no Mori and other art spots, Karuizawa's largest Yukawa Furusato Park, famous restaurants, cafes (Kikusui, Chishotei, RK Donuts Karuizawa Seikichi, etc.), tennis courts, and Viala annex Karuizawa. There is the Yugawa river for fly fishing and the gourmet road, Shiozawa-dori. Ten minutes by car to Old Karuizawa, outlets, Kazakoshi Park, Tonbo-no-yu, Harunire Terrace, Karuizawa Sengataki Onsen, golf course, athletic, glass crafts, etc. You can also enjoy cooking in the kitchen and dining in the dining room, deck, garden, and sun room. It is a quiet, small, cozy guest house. The deck is spacious enough for about 6 people to have a barbecue, etc. Please note that it may feel a little cramped for 4 adults. Since it is a mountain forest, there are insects, but we carefully control insects in the guest house. Please understand if they enter during your stay. If you are not good with insects, etc., I think you will have a little resistance, so please book with that in mind. In winter, it gets below freezing around here. Please note that the heating facilities in this guest house are mainly kerosene stoves and kerosene fan heaters. We also have electric appliances, but if you use too much, the safety device will work (smart meter) and the electricity in the house will flash, so please do not use a lot of electric appliances at once. An earth leakage meter is also installed. If the electricity flashes, please reduce the use of electricity.(Also, please contact us about rural living experiences, etc. We do our best to disinfect and clean after guests leave to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.
