The skiing and hiking areas in the Thuringian Forest (Oberhof with international competition venues and Schmiedefeld) are easily accessible by car in 20-30 minutes as well as by public transport.

My family and I live on the sunny outskirts of Waldau, directly in the beautiful Ansbachtal at the foot of the Thuringian Forest. A separate entrance leads you to your area of the house. The bright and newly renovated rooms invite you to relax. The forest is almost at your doorstep. It is only a few minutes by bike to the Ratscher mountain lake. The Goethe city of Ilmenau, the state capital of Erfurt or the Vestestadt of Coburg in neighboring Bavaria are easily accessible by highway.

Zu Fuß sind schnell Kurgarten, Bushaltestellen, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Bank, Minigolfanlage, Ärzte, Gaststätten und diverse Wanderwege zu erreichen. Über schöne Wanderwege kommt man zu Schloss Aschach. Die schöne Rhön lädt zu diversen Unternehmungen ein. Hier z. B. Wasserkuppe mit Sommerrodelbahn, Kreuzberg usw. We have a year-round ski hall for cross-country skiers and those who want to become one, not far from the apartment in the beautiful Oberhof. The apartment is new and modernly furnished. A fully equipped kitchen is available for guests. It has a garage and a seating area on the terrace for cozy sitting in the evening.

We, as the 20th generation, cannot bake as well as our ancestors, but we would like to welcome you instead to our former bakery shop and thus continue the family tradition in a slightly different form.
