In Nishinari-ku, Osaka-shi, you can still find old Japanese row houses. We had a unique accommodation designed by T2P Architects, a disciple of the world-famous architect Tadao Ando. The small roof blends in with the neighborhood's appearance, while the metal facade creates a vivid contrast with its surroundings. At the same time, the concept of "co-housing" combines independent units that ensure privacy with a central garden that encourages interaction between residents. The restoration was particularly difficult due to the state it was in but our craftsman’s determination to bring this Machiya back to its formal glory paid off for Reikaku Yasaka.
