Het betreft een rustige woonwijk maar vanzelfsprekend zijn er ook omgevingsgeluiden te horen. Het Wilgenhuisje bevindt zich aan de rand van het dorp Koekange, natuurparken zijn in de omgeving volop aanwezig.
