Villa holiday rentals in Kournas

Georgia and Yannis's villa is amazing, and surpassed all of our expectations. Surrounded by beautiful mountains, the owners have thought about every single detail, which made planning our holiday considerably easier. In the weeks before our arrival, Georgia sent us itinerary ideas, beach recommendations and restaurant suggestions. The view from the pool is simply breathtaking. We were two families with children from 4 to 14. The children loved every minute of our holiday, particularly the swimming pool and the play area.

A perfect cretan get away. Highly recommended. We had wonderful stay there. The property is very well maintained with modern comfort and traditional charm. We were spoiled by warmth and generosity of the host and locals. Really appriciate the care given by Katerina and Maria. Outdoor area is very well maintained and also the highlight of the villa with the beautifull view of cretan landscape. We also love the two resident cats, even named them Razia(brown cat) and Azra(black cat). We will miss them too.

This was the nicest Airbnb I've ever stayed in! To note, though, that this review is for the East Villa, as we had booked the West Villa, but the host kindly offered to switch us. The patio area of the East Villa looks nicer than the West Villa, as it's bigger and has a breathtaking view of the ocean. The villas are only a few months old, and everything was spotless. Mary was always responsive, which was crucial as we had booked last minute. She arranged for a contact person to meet us at a location nearby, who then led us to the villa. The location is a bit remote, but it's close to Lake Kournas and completely private. The village of Kournas is also nearby, and Chania is about an hour away. It was so comfortable that I didn't want to leave! The highlights for me were the view, the pool, the rainfall shower, and the pillows. There was also a bottle of wine in the fridge, and even though we broke something at the place, they were very polite and didn't mind at all. Truly a dream!

Easily 5+ star accommodation. The property is stunning with a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. My family and I were very comfortable here and it served as a perfect home base as we explored the surrounding area. You definitely need a car for easy accessibility. Katerina & George were exceptional hosts, very welcoming and thoughtful.

This is a 10/10 Villa. We have travelled a lot and this is by far the best Villa we have stayed in. We were a family of 9 (5 adults and 4 children aged 2, 4, 9 and 11). The views are stunning, the pool is big, all the rooms have private bathroom. Jacuzzi is also perfect for when the sun goes down! Theo was a wonderful host helping us, giving good recommendations and suprising as with some nice gestures. This Villa really is a Gem as the name suggests. As for the surroundings - it is 100% private! For me the best part was that there is a nice local village to walk to every night. There are some amazing Tavernas/Restaurants with delicious food and reasonable prices (also a mini-market). There is also a nice beach with a good restaurant and a nice cozy beach bar - it is only a 10 minute walk from the villa. And if you rent a car then it is a 10 minute ride to the Rethymnon old town, which is also a very nice place with lots of shops and restaurants. The Villa was worth every euro!

An absolute superhost! The villa is beautiful. We enjoyed the time there very much and would choose the Canna Villa again at any time. Yannis is always available and a very friendly host.

We had an incredible stay with our family. The photos do not do it justice. It’s so beautiful and so peaceful. There were many lovely welcome food and drinks that we really appreciated. We had many activities and family in the area so we were out and about but were always looking forward to coming back to enjoy the house, the pool, and the gorgeous view. We also loved the hot tub when we got a little chilled from swimming since it was a bit early in season. We made sure to have a day to just do that. We used the indoor/outdoor theatre one night and that was really fun. All the rooms and the kitchen were perfectly appointed. Everything was so well thought out. We can’t wait to come again and stay longer and have time to use the outdoor kitchen, the gorgeous dining room and enjoy the beautiful pool and view again. The house and location was fantastic - beautiful gardens, pool area and views. A few minutes drive from shops and coast, 15 minutes walk to local village and good tavernas. Inside house was lovely, clean and spacious. Only downside was downstairs 3 bedrooms were not as light and spacious as upstairs rooms. Some of us swapped bedrooms part way though our stay in the interest of fairness! Overall lovely relaxing holiday Thankyou.

Wonderful Experience at the Villa Elias! Our stay at the villa was perfect. The sea view was breathtaking, especially during sunset – a true sense of calm, quiet, and complete privacy. Choosing this villa was an excellent decision, especially because of the heated pool, which the kids absolutely loved. They enjoyed both swimming and playing in the spacious garden. The villa is well-equipped, with many useful items that made our stay very comfortable, including an air pump for pool toys. The location is also great – close to shops, supermarkets, and pharmacies. Beatiful view and nice downstairs appartment with own pool and yard. Parking lot had always room for our car. From parking lot there are deep stairs down to the appartments yard. We came late in evening and it was little bit difficult to get in without light on the appartment door. Pool was great for swimming and view fo Chania and sea bay just amazing. If you have lot of electronic devices with you, take a power strip with you. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet during our stay in April. Really nice place to relax and enjoy life.

Book this Airbnb. Do not think twice. Nice to be greeted with wine and snacks after the flight over. 3 styles of coffee makers with coffee. Sugar, spices, olive oil and balsamic to get you started. 4 bedroom 3 full baths. Great living and cooking areas. Very spacious for our group of 7. Clean and comfortable. Equipped with everything you could ask for. We made a few terrific meals with the grill and kitchen equipment. Harilao has put a lot of thought and planning in to his home. Gorgeous outdoor space with heated pool. Indoors is clean and uncluttered. The views are lovely. 1 minute on walk up the street to fresh bread daily and cute market. 3 minute walk down the street is a bigger market. 4 minute walk to my favorite beach. 8 Euro for 2 chairs and an umbrella. Bar right there if you want a drink. Walk to coffee, pastries, restaurants and bars near by. We loved the home and beach so much that we slipped a few day trips. 5 stars. I hope to come back! We were there as a family with the grandparents. All three generations liked it very much. The heated pool is an absolute plus at the end of May and the whirlpool right next to it makes the outdoor area perfect. The grounds are spacious, there is plenty of shade and the view is amazing. The protected grill area is perfect for breakfast and dinner. However, the first-class service is particularly noteworthy. Olga was always available, the jammed courtyard gate was repaired within half an hour and two employees come every morning, take the garbage, clean the outside area and even the grill. There are many very good restaurants and all encounters were positive and friendly, we liked it very much.

What a beautiful stay and this stunning villa. Definitely the best outdoor space at any villa I’ve ever stayed. And the view? Well, it’s even better than it looks. Kissamos is a chilled out town with great access to some of the world’s best beaches and some great local restaurants. Antonio’s was always on hand to help with anything we needed, he responded to our messages in about 5 minutes. Such a lovely guy and you won’t regret staying here. Thank you and YAMAS!

An unforgettable stay at Villa In Vivo! Our experience at the Villa was nothing short of exceptional. The villa itself is pure luxury - spotlessly clean, tastefully designed, and equipped with everything one could possibly need for a relaxing and carefree stay. What truly made our holiday special, however, was the incredible hospitality of our host, Panagoula. Even before our arrival, she was in touch with me, patiently answering all our questions and making us feel welcome from the start. We were greeted with such warmth at the airport, and upon arrival at the villa, we found delightful culinary surprises and a beautiful selection of fresh fruit waiting for us. The mid-stay cleaning service after four days was a lovely touch, and we are especially grateful for Panagoula’s tireless support after the stormy weather – and for the delicious, healthy meal she brought us during the week! You and your family are the best! Highly recommended – we’d return in a heartbeat. Thanks a lot!

We had a real jaw drop moment walking into this Villa with the sun setting over the mountains. It was a beautiful place, Very remote. We had plenty of space for 10 people. We had really good communication with our hosts. We enjoyed some lovely food in the local village Kalyves down by the beach. I would highly recommend this Villa if you would like somewhere to relax with your family or friends, and enjoy a view you will never get bored of.

This is the best Airbnb we’ve stayed in, like a 5 star hotel. The villa is beautiful and luxurious. Everything is new and works. Christina the host is amazing, very helpful. Each room has a well sized bathroom with a great shower. A breakfast basket was left outside at 8:30 am each morning - delicious! The kitchen is spotless and has all the tools you’ll need. There’s a BBQ. The villa was cleaned midway and the cleaners did a great job. It is quiet and secure. We slept well. The outside space is stunning. The pool is a constant 1.5 metre depth so perhaps not suitable for very young children. The local village is small and very friendly. There’s a great shop 10 minutes walk away, and next to that is a good restaurant (taverna). You definitely need a car here but I’d recommend you have a car anyway to explore Crete. The coastal town of Almyrida is 10 mins drive away with restaurants and shops. Chania and Rethymno are approx 45 mins drive away. Both have lovely old towns.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this villa in Crete! The house was fantastic – beautifully maintained with everything we needed for a perfect vacation. We even got some fresh fruits to settle in. The beds were very comfortable, and the view from the villa was simply spectacular. The pool was a real highlight, offering stunning scenery and a great place to relax (Also, never played table tennis with that scenery…). Within just a 10-minute drive, we found lovely beaches and charming taverns. Our host, Spyros, was extraordinarily friendly and helpful throughout our stay, making us feel truly welcome. We totally recommend this villa, especially for families looking for a relaxing and unforgettable getaway! It’s not cheap but totally worth it!

The Airbnb was fantastic, very modern and spacious with an amazing view. The host was extremely helpful leading up to our stay and also during our stay. One of the best Villa’s I have ever stayed in, the pictures do not do it justice. Highly recommend choosing this for your stay in Greece. Only bad thing is that we had to leave to come back home!

Really loved our stay at the Villa! This place was amazing with a great outdoor space for us all! Loved the pool! Poliminia was so friendly and welcoming, especially either her dropping off home made treats, which were delicious. Loved the local area with the lake nearby, would definitely recommend a car to get around! We really enjoyed the local wine tasting Dourakis, which was ten minutes away! Perfect place for a relaxed break. Would definitely recommend and go back!

This is a spectacular villa and easily matches the photos. One unexpected feature was that one of the two pools was shallow for the kids. That meant they could stand by themselves and they would play in it all day. The adults loved just lying in it too! Nikos was a great host. He welcomed us on to the property and was extremely responsive with our questions. He even delivered extra pool toys and Greek treats during our stay. The area is very private with a short drive to supermarkets and some classic waterfront restaurants. It’s also convenient to get to Chania airport. We loved our stay here as two families, it exceeded our expectations and would strongly recommend.

Nikos was an excellent host! He brought us fresh goodies and made sure we had everything needed. The home is beautiful and exactly has pictured. I recommend renting a car if you stay here as it is quite desolate location and not walkable to restaurants/shops.
