Hissala Edgar, chalet with sauna and lake view

The name is a little nod to my home region: “hissala” means “little house” in the Alsatian dialect. We are located on one of the hills overlooking Lake Gérardmer, close to both the ski slopes and the center of Gérardmer. You will appreciate being able to start your walks from the cottage, as we are on the edge of the forest and have direct access to numerous hiking trails. Hissala Edgar is a small chalet with a surface area of approximately 70 m² on two floors. The entrance opens onto the light-filled living room, where you will enjoy the beautiful unobstructed view of the lake and mountains. Here you will find a living room, a dining area, a toilet, a cloakroom, and a balcony. On the ground floor are two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and separate toilet. Each bedroom has a queen-size bed (160 cm). We have opted for natural, high-end, eco-friendly bedding (natural latex mattresses from LatexBio), down duvets and pillows, and locally made cotton sateen linens. In the first bedroom, a large bay window opens onto the wooden terrace, where you can enjoy the Klafs sauna with a relaxing view of the mountains and forest. In the second bedroom, a French window opens onto the same terrace. Please note that the cottage is designed for a maximum of 4 people, including babies and children.

This peaceful accommodation offers a relaxing stay for the whole family or friends. Close to bike trails, the paragliding base, Lake Kruth, hiking and ski resorts, this house located at the foot of the Vosges massif nestled in a small Alsatian village will seduce you. In the village you will find a grocery store, pharmacy, bar and two restaurants. Two supermarkets are 10 minutes from the accommodation. Mulhouse is 45 minutes away and Colmar is 1 hour away.

The Washerwoman Hautes Vosges of Alsace

Nice townhouse in a dead end street, quiet with mountain views. Built in the 1930s for textile factory workers. The connection was broken in 1988 with the closure of the factory. A private washhouse was dedicated to the staff of this street that still exists by its architecture, with the function of a private garage currently. Ideal if you love nature, tranquility, hiking, walks from the gîte and sports, skiers, bikers, paragliders...
